I notice that the media are now acting like Paul does not exist. I mean like not even listing his name on the results anymore. They'll do anything to avoid a one on one debate between Paul and McLame.

Can you imagine? A one on one debate between RP and McLame? That cannot be allowed to happen.

Actually, CNN has probably given Paul the fairest coverage. Some of the online sites I've seen, though, are not listing Paul in the results like they have been doing the past few months. Of course, that could be because he is showing so poorly.

If fate permits me to make a projection (if there's any sanity applicable to American politics) McCain isn't going to win. The public knows McCain and Clinton, so they'll opt for the mystery behind curtain C, whatever that turns out to be.

Of course, that assumes some small amount of sanity and fair elections.

The Federal Reserve's rescue has failed

No sane mortal needs to know what term- auction means, except that it too became a tool of the US credit alchemists. Banks briefly used the market as laboratory for conjuring long-term loans at Alan Greenspan's giveaway short-term rates. It has come unstuck. Next in line is the $45 trillion derivatives market for credit default swaps (CDS)."

" They voted for more war.............

and they shall have more war."

Its not who votes, but who counts ...........all choices but paul were CFR, we will

get more war as long as they can profit. But I think we made too much noise, the

war will fade and backroom deals will now center on healthcare.

I would have thought that Paul would have gotten more votes than he did in Texas. It shouldn't be possible to completely ignore him in his own state.

Or, we're all the fringe minority, and people are happy with more war, and the perceived prestige on the world stage (at least for propaganda and internal consumption) it brings. A coworker of mine sent an edititorial to me that emphasized just that, and that we needed to take the fight to our enemies (unnamed, except for referencing Islamofascists, a vacuous and empty term) and that the best defense is a good offense. That's an idea that I haven't been able to understand, because in war, it's been proved over and over that the best defense is a good defense. The Soviets found that out (they, like us, prior to 1941 had emphasized the offense) when the Germans invaded, and they rediscovered defensive tactics the hard way. WWI showed that the defense at that time was the stronger, even in Iraq and Afghanistan, the defense is winning out (I define IED usage as a defensive tactic, but it's difficult to define IED and suicide bombings tactically.)

I think that perhaps we've become a militaristic society, that glorifies warfare and the martial ethos. It's said, really, since we traditionally (or at least what I've read) rejected such notions, and left militarism to the Germans and Prussians. Think of all the "we only liberate, we don't conquer" pap that we're taught throughout childhood, the indispensible nation hogwash, and the glorification of the "good" that we're doing in Iraq and around the world. I don't think anyone would like the military running their town, but it should be just peachy for them foreigners, since they didn't know better to start with, isn't that the idea expounded? I'm always stuck with Bastiat's "broken window" fallacy, and think about the wasted lives and destruction of property. Before the broken window the economy as a whole had the window and the resources for a new one, now there's just a new window. Unfortunately, when we're done, there isn't even the new window.

Rivers of blood were spilled out over land that, in normal times, not even the poorest Arab would have worried his head over." Field Marshal Erwin Rommel

Health care may forefront in MSM but the war will not fade. The government/military is up to bigger and better things.

. Unfortunately, when we're done,

Indeed we are.

The day a new draft is instituted, we will know there is no turning back.

The voters of both parties have voted overwhelmingly for more government and more war. In Texas and Ohio, the only non war candidate received 5 per cent of the vote. The statistics do not lie.

Which proves that, at least among those who bothered to vote, 95% of them are diehard statist morons.

tell me what happened to the majority of americans who, according to polls, were/are against the war?????

Most of them are voting for Democrats, which is especially stupid if they back Hillary. I know a lot of anti-war Democrats who against all facts think that Hillary is on their side. Just like a lot of Republicans who say they want to see something done about illegal immigration still support Bush and McCain.

Personal slurs aside

It's my rotten sense of humor. I was kidding.

And the men who loan money to governments, so called, for the purpose of enabling the latter to rob, enslave, and murder their people, are among the greatest villains that the world has ever seen. And they as much deserve to be hunted and killed (if they cannot otherwise be got rid of) as any slave traders, robbers, or pirates that ever lived. ... Lysander Spooner

The "little brown ones" aren't meant for the military in the new world order.

They've got meals to prepare, shoes to shine.
