The morning after reviving her candidacy with two big primary wins, Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton (D-N.Y.) hinted Wednesday that she and Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.) may wind up as ticket mates.

“That may, you know, be where this is headed, but of course we have to decide who’s on the top of ticket,” Clinton said with a laugh on the CBS's “The Early Show.” “I think that the people of Ohio very clearly said that it should be me."

Clinton's wins in Texas and Ohio mean the race will go on for at least seven weeks, to the Pennsylvania primary on April 22. Each side expects to harden its attacks on the other, creating potential complications in swiftly becoming a ticket.

Democratic strategists say Clinton would be more likely to pick Obama than vice versa, for two big reasons:

Obama has attracted tens of thousands of young supporters who are loyal to him, not to the Democratic Party. Clinton, on the other hand, has strong support among party regulars.

Clinton's lesson: Attacking Obama works Exit polls: Why Clinton won Ohio Exit polls: Why Clinton won Texas primary So if Clinton became the nominee, inviting Obama aboard her ticket would help keep that support. Obama might be reluctant to join, figuring that if Clinton lost, he’d be able to run for the top job four years later. But he might accept her invitation at the behest of the party.

Obama would have much less reason to pick Clinton. He has made his campaign about the future, and her presence on the ticket would complicate that message. And she has not brought in voters he would automatically have trouble attracting.

Both candidates did a round of interviews with the network morning shows.

Asked about voters’ view of Obama, Clinton said on NBC’s “Today” show: “I think they’re starting to ask some hard questions, and I think voters want this race to go on because they … are now really concerned about who can best go against Senator [John] McCain.”

Obama said on “The Early Show”: “We had won 12 state contests. Senator Clinton was due.”

Obama added ABC’s “Good Morning America”: “I think it’s going to be very hard for her to catch up on the pledged delegate count.”

Clinton sees ticket with Obama

We all knew this...Clinton sews up the loony left and Hispanic vote, Obama sews up the moderate left and black vote.

I don't think Obama will go for this. I know I wouldn't if I were he.

What a hoax. How many republicans crossed over and voted for this marxist?

If America is destroyed, it may be by Americans who salute the flag, sing the national anthem, march in patriotic parades, cheer Fourth of July speakers - normally good Americans who fail to comprehend what is required to keep our country strong and free - Americans who have been lulled into a false security (April 1968).---Ezra Taft Benson, US Secretary of Agriculture 1953-1961 under Eisenhower

In Texas, a LOT. It proves to me that Limbaugh is still pretty powerful.

At the precinct convention level (which is more likely to reflect actual Democrats voting), Obama is leading my district, 58-40. Billary, though, carried the popular vote in this district by about the same margin.

I don't think Obama will go for this.

In a flash he will. So fast that no one will even see a hesitation...... now, there maybe some big play in the media about it, but it is a done deal, or, it would not have been talked about in public.

After all, he will believe that his turn in the white house is guarenteed with a stint as VP. Silly boy.

When a man who is honestly mistaken hears the truth, he will either quit being mistaken or cease to be honest. Attention, Shrub; A life of evil is ultimately a life of wretchedness.

Wolf Blitzer has been pushing this idea on CNN for weeks, I think because it's the only way Hillary could get the nomination.

To reason, indeed, he was not in the habit of attending. His mode of arguing, if it is to be so called, was one not uncommon among dull and stubborn persons, who are accustomed to be surrounded by their inferiors. He asserted a proposition; and, as often as wiser people ventured respectfully to show that it was erroneous, he asserted it again, in exactly the same words, and conceived that, by doing so, he at once disposed of all objections. - Macaulay, "History of England," Vol. 1, Chapter 6, on James II.

Obama CERTAINLY wouldn't pick a member of a crime family with a long history of mysteriously "disappearing" those who are opposed to them as No. 2 on his ticket. Think JFK Jr., Vince Foster, etc.

In the very unlikely event he is nominated, he needs to find someone WAY more repugnant than Spiro Agnew as his running mate. Richard Nixon always referred to Agnew as his insurance policy guaranteeing no one would attempt to assassinate him.

Recall that it wasn't until Agnew was forced to resign the vice presidency that impeachment proceedings began to be pushed against Nixon.

Cheney serves much the same function for Dubya, in addition to actually doing the work normally done by the president.

Agreed. Hill would choos Obama, but for Obama, hillary would be a liability since so many R's hate her.

Obviously, O will be on the D ticket either as P or VP, but Hill probably won't be VP. Of course if she is, then O might get Arkencided.

The script is just about to reach climax. The Dream Ticket has wrapped up the black, hispanic, woman, and blue collar segments. People coming out in droves to vote for the Dream Ticket.

The script writers should demand a raise for their brilliance.

Yes, it is. Many are confused about her real chances. CNN has explained the way the delegate count would still be in Obama's favor, even if she wins the rest of the states. She cannot catch up.

I don't think any pledges of any delegates will matter. Clearly, the bipartisan neocon/Zionist establishment has decided that the fun and games are over and that the B/CCF Dynasty must continue until the country is utterly destroyed. There is no turning back.

For one thing, the superdelegates will break overwhelmingly in favor of the Bush/Clinton Crime Family.

But, as I understand it, even the delegates chosen in primaries can change their minds. I stand to be corrected on this, but I believe that is technically the case. It's much like the Electoral College in that regard.

Are any of the upcoming primaries "winner take all," or do they all split delegates?

Eight years ago, a lot of suckers were conned into thinking that Bush would undo the corruption and waste of the Clinton administration. Today, the same suckers are convinced that a Clinton administration will be an antidote to the Bush administration's crimes and incompetence.

Do I detect a note of suspicion there?

I agree one hundred per cent but would add that Congress has to share the blame. They are 500 people that should be dragged out of Washington with Bush.

If the candidate with the most popular votes does not win the nomination the Democrats may have trouble uniting.

The 1968 convention was a disaster for just this reason. The anti-war candidate, Eugene McCarthy had more popular votes, but the delegates gave Hubert Humphrey the nomination even though he never ran in a single primary.

The current Congress is especially disgraceful. Many won their seats thanks to growing anti-Bush and anti-war sentiment, and what do they do when they get to the House and Senate? They're either afraid to challenge the White House, or give the Bush administration their outright support.

The Chimperor has a dossier the size of the NYC phone book on all of them. Why do you think he continues surveillance even after the law authorizing it expired a few weeks ago? It is because Chimpy IS the U.S. federal government. "L'Etat c'est moi," as a French king once said.

At this point, the Congress of the United States is an irrelevant branch of government. It is utterly compromised. Darth and the Chimp are de facto dictators.
