It is wonderful to see that the Republican Party has chosen John McCain as its probable nominee. We won't have to listen to Ron Paul talking about freedom and restoring the Constitution and a sound monetary system anymore. We can now move on as a nation with open borders, higher taxes, runaway inflation, more manufacturing jobs moving out of America, higher gas prices, a national ID card where our government can keep track of us 24 hours a day, a private banking system called the Federal Reserve system that can cause boom or bust at any time, a 100-year war with Iraq, our troops in every nation. We won't have to listen to Paul wanting to restore the republic that our forefathers set up. What a waste of time to think we can become a nation of freedoms again. We need to continue paying our income taxes so that we can pay the interest on our national debt. It's great to see that the Republican Party wants to remain status quo and not interrupt any of our systems all in the name of democracy. Congratulations to the Republicans that voted for John McCain. MIKE MONAGHAN

With that in mind, I fully expect Paul to campaign against Clinton and McCain with equal vigor for the presidency.
Ron Paul was a 'reluctant' candidate for POTUS who apparently always intended to operate from within the GOP as a Congresscritter. The "That's what I want them to think®" bluff really only served to get our hopes up that Ron would actually carry on to November and at least give Americans an American choice for POTUS in 40-some States. Oh well, the next chapter is already here...
Our last hope for peace If Paul does not come out swinging against McCain during and after the convention then we will have our answer as to where his interest lies.

What Would Reagan Do? It's 50/50 as I see it. You have to wonder how much the 'Spoiler' mantra directed towards Paul influenced/influences him. I see Hitlery as having been (s)elected years and years ago. A true principled Conservative/Constitutionalist running 3rd Party (and getting any traction whatsoever) would take the heat like Perot did for the (s)election of William Jefferson Rapist and maybe Ron Paul doesn't want to be the next Perot* in the history books?
Our last hope for peace Obviously so. During the primaries, it seemed like his heart wasn't really in the Presidential run, so he (maybe wisely?) made keeping his House seat a priority. It was really the best he could do with his personality and campaign style. I just hope that he goes on actively refusing to endorse McCain come the GOP convention.
Just watch the 1st minute.

My hope is that Chuck Baldwin is nominated as Constitution Party candidate for POTUS and Ron Paul endorses Chuck. Baldwin articulates very well and has written REAMS of excellent information supporting Ron Paul.

Our last hope for peace Bush today at the groundbreaking on the Mall for a MLK Jr. memorial: I particularly want to thank my predecessor, the man who signed the legislation to create this memorial, President Bill Clinton. It sounds like to me they haven't forgotten you yet. He's become, as you know, my fourth brother. Our last hope for peace I will probably still vote for him as a write in if nothing eles but he has turned out to be another McClintock as far as I'm concerned.
It would be a terrible tragedy--simply terrible--if anything ever happened to those two "brothers." What a heart rending time for the country. I don't know if I can go on, just thinking about it I get all overcome with emotion. Y'know?

I don't think the next pres is going to Cain or Clinton. But I also don't think it matters, because it isn't going to be Ron Paul.

I'm going to vote for someone that's actually in the race, running. If there isn't someone outside of the establishment worth voting for I'll re evaluate.

I found this interesting...If anyone thinks Clinton would be VP, they are on something. " NEW YORK (CBS) 53; Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton hinted at the possibility of a Democratic "dream ticket" with Sen. Barack Obama. Speaking on "The Early Show" on CBS, Clinton said "that may be where this is headed, but of course we have to decide who is on the top of the ticket."
