Yes, the situation is dire. But not because the aliens - it's because scam like you (the police). 80% of alien crime is connected to drugs. how in god's name can you view this video and see the statistics of the murders of innocent Americans by ILLEGALS--get that? We don't need a wall to deal with illegals, and we don't need violence or more draconian laws either. What we DO need are serious laws with serious penalties that go after the EMPLOYERS of illegals, and we need to provide adequate funding to agencies that would enforce those laws. Once the first couple of hundred employers of illegals are busted HARD and hit with MAJOR penalties and even jail time, the rest of the employers of illegals will finally get the message and fire their illegal workers. And if you REALLY want to make some major headway then offer rewards to citizens who turn in those who employ illegals, the same way that we reward those who turn in those who avoid income taxes.
With no way to make a living, the vast majority of illegals will get the idea and self deport. The rest can be deported over time as they run afoul of the law and end up getting arrested for various crimes.

Elliott, your solution assumes that the reason for the invasion is economic. That's partially true, but the larger fact is that the creation of the NAU is the ultimate goal. This will be accomplished, seamlessly, when America is well sprinkled w/illegals. Today, as you know, large tracts of the SW have fallen to the enemy. The Mexican flag has replaced the American flag on buildings. The peso is the currency of choice and English is a 2nd language. The Reconquista is in overdrive, and additional layers of laws slapped on employers aren't the answer. Personally, I've had enough. I'd have no problem with a redeployment of our military on the border with orders to shoot to kill. Same w/the police, border guards, etc. The threat of being shot would stop the flood cold in six months. Others can tinker with our political system in hopes of a solution, but I've long ago given up on potential solutions from these traitors.
