At any cost....may well be her undoing.

Oh Hell, I'm writing in Ron Paul anyway.

Yeah, that'll do a lot of good.

Have you all stopped listening to Dr. Paul?

As he is saying, an election cycle is just an election cycle. A Revolution is a long hard march.

Putting Hitlery or McInsane in the White House is foolhardy retreat.

Ron clearly recognizes this and is going back to Congress. The rest of you can't smell coffee?

A McCain presidency scares the crap out of me.

Same here. While they both have similar agendas, McInsane is clearly the most psychotic (but only a little more). In fact, I would bet that he would effectively unite the world against America in no short order to take the US down as the allies did to bring Nazi Germany down. At worst, if McHitler continued to escalate and didn't flinch or get removed from power, then it could end badly for everyone. No future for humanity. And Jesus ain't going to come back to save a world hell-bent on suicide -- or a world already destroyed.

Yeah, except Hitler didn't have nukes...

I alluded to that in mentioning escalation and "ending badly for everyone". If a nuclear exchange (rather than a one-sided big-power-nuking-smaller-nukeless-country only) gets out of hand, then all the fears of the Cold War and everybody dieing again becomes a threat.

I think McCain would be the most genuine "Hitler" the world has ever seen since the original. All the other designated Hitlers were just hype to brainwash complacent sheep into supporting militarily intervention against this or that dictator. With McCain the world gets the real deal. And if the rest of the world doesn't recognize it now, they will soon enough.

If McCain is prez, will Americans STILL be asking themselves "Why does the world want to destroy us?"

I'd like to think that a Democratic House would stand up and remove such a monster, or at the very least make an effort to thwart him. But somehow I suspect that, not wanting to invoke his legendary temper, they will go along with him. Bucuz rite or rong, we gots to support ar cummandur in cheef. Thatz wut a kongressman ore sennatur's job discriptchun sez. Rite?

"Of course, well, you know, I've got a lifetime of experience. Senator McCain has a lifetime of experience. And you know, Senator Obama's whole campaign is about one speech he made in 2002."

Nonsense on its face.

Dr. Strangelove and Hitlery showed their establishment lockstep with their support of the Decider.

Obama showed good old-fashioned, American common sense.

Now, from what I'm sensing on recent threads, otherwise sensible people have finally stopped hitting the snooze button and awakened to the fact that in all probability the next President is going to be one of these two dreadful nominees.

It didn't have to happen.

But it will give the bitching, whining stay-at-homers at least another four years of fun blaming the frightful "them" (clue: the "people behind the curtain" is us folks, apologies to Pogo).

She just did everyone a big favor and proved herself unfit for the job. I never could be 100% sure before. It was always too hard to separate what she really did from what Rush Limbaugh said she did.

But since you do, has Limbaugh come out in support of McCain yet? Who else would he endorse at this point?

The problem from my POV is that she's willing to wipe out both herself and Obama if she can't win, handing the presidency to McCain. A McCain presidency scares the crap out of me.

Jesus is coming back despite what the majority do or do not do. He already told us few would follow him, so he will come back for those few. BTW Jesus is not coming back to save anyone, he already saved everyone 2000 years ago. When he comes again it will be to gather the accepters of his gift.

Oh, I caucused for Obama. In fact, I chaired the precinct convention. I did my little part in the Hillobama drama.

Sorry ghost .. jumped to the wrong conclusion on the write-in.

If we don't pull a Hail-Mary in PA we might as well both do it. There ain't a dime's worth of difference in the other two.

BTW, I canvassed door to door for Obama .... trying hard, as I did so, to fight off the impression I was getting that Obama was God only knows how many decades before his time in running as a Black man for President.

There's a scary amount of race hatred out there.

A lot less than there used to be, IMO. We had a lot of folks show up for Obama in Lubbock, of all places. Of course, that could be a measure of the Clinton hatred, too.

A) Show-ups are encouraging (same here in OH)

B) But I think when you meet the broader demographic of people at their own front door you come away at least a little depressed.

C) Don't ever think racism is not AT LEAST as rampant in the north as in the south.

This from an old fart that tries to stay optimistic.

We shall see. The bookies agree with you though.

THE YEAR WAS 2081, and everybody was finally equal. They weren’t only equal before God and the law. They were equal every which way. Nobody was smarter than anybody else. Nobody was better looking than anybody else. Nobody was stronger or quicker than anybody else. All this equality was due to the 211th, 212th, and 213th Amendments to the Constitution, and to the unceasing vigilance of agents of the United States Handicapper General.

Some things about living still weren’t quite right, though.

I've lived in both and whole-heartedly agree. Yankees are a little more in smug denial about their racism, though.

Me too, and the Northerners are MORE racist than Southerners. The bussing riots happened in "BOSTON" ... not Dallas.

The defamation of honest people being labeled racists is simply a way to shut the conversation down.

I get the feeling that if there were a "Second Coming," vicious and hypocritical Bible-bangers like Hagee would be the last people to be taken to heaven. How can anybody read the Sermon on the Mount and come away from it sounding like Hagee, Falwell (good riddance), or Robertson?
