Oh, I caucused for Obama. In fact, I chaired the precinct convention. I did my little part in the Hillobama drama.

Sorry ghost .. jumped to the wrong conclusion on the write-in.

If we don't pull a Hail-Mary in PA we might as well both do it. There ain't a dime's worth of difference in the other two.

BTW, I canvassed door to door for Obama .... trying hard, as I did so, to fight off the impression I was getting that Obama was God only knows how many decades before his time in running as a Black man for President.

There's a scary amount of race hatred out there.

A lot less than there used to be, IMO. We had a lot of folks show up for Obama in Lubbock, of all places. Of course, that could be a measure of the Clinton hatred, too.

A) Show-ups are encouraging (same here in OH)

B) But I think when you meet the broader demographic of people at their own front door you come away at least a little depressed.

C) Don't ever think racism is not AT LEAST as rampant in the north as in the south.

This from an old fart that tries to stay optimistic.

I've lived in both and whole-heartedly agree. Yankees are a little more in smug denial about their racism, though.

Me too, and the Northerners are MORE racist than Southerners. The bussing riots happened in "BOSTON" ... not Dallas.

The defamation of honest people being labeled racists is simply a way to shut the conversation down.
