Actually, it is far worse than Dobbs says. Both Hillary and Obama have said they would refuse to enforce the borders until Congress passed a Path to Citizenship (i.e. Amnesty.)

The dollar is sinking like a rock because we do not export enough to buy all of our imported oil. Every time we add 10,000,000 people we have to import 100% of the oil they consume. This drives up the price of oil in dollars and drives down our real wages. If we pass Amnesty, we will add 22,000,000 citizens to our population immediately and another 22,000,000 in a few years. That means we will have to print even more dollars to buy oil. At some point the dollar will go into freefall until the price of oil is so high that 50% of all Americans cannot afford to buy gasoline to get to work and we have to live off the oil we can pump domestically.

Obama, Hillary and McCain are all saying that you will be taking a 50% after tax paycut. And, that if you object, you are a racist whose views need not be considered. Lou Dobbs' wife is a Mexican with a lot of Indian ancestors so I doubt he is motivated by racism.

Naturally, most folks assume that these candidates believe in some undefined right of people to seek a better life, but that's not it at all.

In fact, both parties defend the corporations' "right" to cheap, exploitable labor -people who can be unlawfully locked into fire traps to prevent "inventory shrinkage", disciplined with cattle prods, made to work unpaid overtime and who cannot even complain because of a language barrier that doesn't prevent them from working like slaves, but does minimize redress of grievances regardless of their validity.

The Tyson chicken plant that burned here in DE years ago had the emergency panic exit door hardware disabled and the doors chained to keep employees from swiping a chicken or two for their own hungry families. In a *state that produces 4 billion dollars worth of plump fryers every year there is no plan to supply the lowest workers on the food chain with chickens at cost. That's too much like charity, it isn't tax deductible, and like the Wal Mart bazillionaires the Tyson Foods people just can't spare it. (What are we, Japanese?)

The day that Exxon donates home heating oil to minimize winter killed poor people in America (like Chavez does, that rotten commie bastard!) is the day that Tyson and Wal Mart will let their employees buy necessities at cost.

My former oil company boss told me that he paid taxes and that's all the obligation he has to his employees, and that's why he didn't have a health plan. And, while he was telling me that his Republican buddies were quietly lobbying to eliminate the income tax on corporations and make it a withholding tax only! Yeah, the corporate types would like nothing better than if we worker bees supported the less fortunate among us. But, when Exxon spilled a few billion crankcases full of Alaskan crude in Prince William Sound, they didn't insist that only the rich help the rich. They were downright cheerful at the prospect that taxpayers would subsidize the coast guard, the engineers, wildlife professionals, and as far as I know EXXON never gave the volunteers from Delaware who washed the animals a nickel.

* EDIT The industry encompasses the DelMarVa peninsula. Parts of MD, DE and VA make up the 4 bil per yr industry here.
