The Ozarks was settled by the Scots-Irish and their attitude has always been, "Don't bother me and I won't bother you." It's more of a "do what you want in private but not in public thing."
The traditional dislike of blacks, Mexicans and Jews has been based on their obnoxious and crimimal behavior.
Branson has a fair amount of gays, due to its being an entertainment center, but you never see them displaying it in public. There are even some Asians there. I've seen what appear to be Chinese girls as waitresses at Lammerts (which is the place where they throw rolls at you from across the room).
I dare say the age old desire to pull one's self up by pushing another group(s) down has a bit to do with it.
No one has to push blacks and Mexicans down. They do it to themselves. If they believe it's being done to them here, they can go back to the homelands.
Oh, wait...white culture is essentially decent and black and Mexican culture isn't...that's why they're moving here and not whites moving there.
As for Jews, they've been expelled over 80 times in less than 2000 years, That's not anti-Semitisim. They're bringing their problems on themselves.
