When I was 17 a friend and I hitched through Oklahoma on our way to Lompoc, California, which is where Quisp and Quake were racing to.
These two girls picked us up, and we were listening to this station out of Broken Bow. The girls said the DJs were stoned all the time, and their point was proved when a record ended, and there was silence for about 30 seconds before the DJs were roused from the stupor and realized they should put another one on.
