Title: Good News or Bad? Local Gun Shop Jammed w/ Buyers

Wanted to share something I thought was relevant to recent discussions here on the economy.

My wife and I visited our local Gun shop over the weekend to purchase a hand gun for her. You couldn't believe how many people were in this store buying fireamrs! I shop regularly at this store for cheap ammunition to shoot at the range, so I am familiar with the traffic. This place was jammed. You could hardly get around each other at the counters and down the aisles. The tension was thick. People seemed tense. I was hyped up on coffee and feeling honery so I loudly proclaimed, "Everyone here must be worried about the Economy and riots in the streets!" I thought I was going to get kicked out. But everyone sighed in agreement; some even clapping their hands. I believe people are finally getting worried.

The title of my post asks the question, "is this a good thing or a bad thing?"

Everytime I have tried to talk to these types of people (shooting advocates; gun range people etc.), I can never seem to get past the Patriotic bullshit -- i.e., we must support our government; our government is our savior.

I am very glad that Americans own guns. I think this is the only thing that will save us. However.......I also worry that most Americans are so fooled, that those guns could be turned on people like me for suggesting that someone else is to blame for all of this mess. A particular range I shoot at has a paper target you can purchase with Osama as the target. This is the most popular target to shoot at!

I live in the South and I will tell you that I have not found one single person who doesn't believe in the propaganda. That is very troubling to me. My hope is to find others close with a like mind so that we can support one another. I really believe that at some point, we will all need to start reaching out and finding others with like minds, not just on the internet, but those who live near us. I have resisted this because it is so hard to trust anyone these days. But I do believe that the only way we will make it through all of this, is by sticking together.

I hope that my situation is not the norm. I hope that all of you are finding communities of like minded people. There is strength in numbers and 'they' seem to have the numbers right now.

I fear the worst; I plan for the worst, and hope for the best.

I would be interested to hear what others are experiencing around them. Sincerely. Subscribe to *SHTF - Survival*

You should try Colorado. I live in an area where there is a very healthy mistrust of government. The idea here is to simply withdraw if things get bad. Cut off the power and phone and block the road coming in.

I've got places I could go in Texas if things get bad, but I am sort of afraid of that. Like you say above, I can see the people there whole heartedly supporting the budding police state until the point that they are no longer useful. At that point Hannity and the local police chief will tell them that all good Americans lay down their guns, snitch on their neighbors and then peacefully enter the designated camp when their number is called.

Colorado would be good for many reasons (imo) ~ I've climbed a lot them hills west of Denver and more than once considered that I should just keep going *s ~ that was back in the early 80s, another period of uncertainty for our country ~ today it feels curious to know that I've marked myself with the locals, in a worst case scenario, should they be asked about disadents in the neighborhood, I may be on the top of the list? tis a strange feeling to have

I would stay north of Denver, up along 14 and 34 into the hills. Places like Redfeather are good. I have ten miles of national forest both directly to the north and south of me. It is not like national park, there is no one back there and there are animals everywhere. It's a pretty severe climate though - it is snowing like crazy right now.

I've noticed the same thing myself, even though I've had some successes with shared vids etc., but the point I wanted to make is that FAUX NEWS seems to have a hypnotic effect on many people. It seems to me that whatever horseshit Fox is selling, they're buying by the bushel basket. Makes me sick because once the spell is broken it's so apparent that the spin is blatant propaganda, probably CIA written tripe that Scam Vannity and Bill Is'Raeli shit onto the heads of their duped audience.

I notice people using the exact same phraseology, the exact same expressions that they hear the pundits use ... like they're in a friggin trance.

Oh, sure, Americans will shoot at carloads of blacks and/or Mexicans that turn into their lily white cul-de-sacs and dump out garbage cans looking for scraps. The loud bass speakers broadcasting rap classics (KILL ALL DE WHITE PEEPUL)and droopy britches will mark them as fair game. Note to all: I did not write that article. It looks to me that some think I did.

I _know_ there are enough people out there, who are well armed and can hit their targets (there will be none of this "spray and pray" shit), that will make anyone with the job title "gun confiscator" have a very hard time in finding or even retaining life insurance. They are armed because of this threat from our government.

They are so outnumbered, it's not even funny.

The only ones that will turn in their firearms are the hunters that might go thru a box of ammo every 5 years. These p#$$$%# will just take up bowling... if they have an alley in the camps.

The problem is, the govt need only videotape and broadcast the first raid and 50 million people will immediately surrender to 100 govt agents 3000 miles away.

And, that will mean that there are tens of millions of snitches, many of whom we'll know from the range and the club who'll know that you and I are either in or out of compliance. (This is where the thing about not having to put a lid on a bucket of live crabs is applicable. Every time one tries to climb out another reaches up and pulls him back down) So, in order to be comfortable in their cowardice they'd feel much better if we're also disarmed and as helpless as they.

Buried guns are useless, so, if the resistance doesn't begin the day of the announcement then, we'll be like the Soviets who could have prevailed over tyranny for 78 years but couldn't find the heart or the guts to get organized.

I agree. There are cowards and snitches out there. Traitors and agents too. This is why I believe it wise to go it alone, or with a few well-known people that dont know everything, just what they need to know.

I am not sure that organization is needed. How many times have you heard of some agent bozo trying to get groups to do or admit to illegal things? I dont see it as paranoia to believe that groups are compromised. That, and the fact that groups are easily destroyed, cells are not. www.hotlinkfiles.com/file...LeaderlessResistance.pdf] book_TheLeaderlessResistance.pdf This is a small PDF on leaderless resistance.

my two cents worth....i may be wrong, BUT....it may not take many, and you have to remember God raised up a lot of Christians to be pacifists [ www.blueletterbible.org/tsk_b/Hbr/8/10.html ;the majority of the non-pacifists are doing the devil's bidding in the ME, and are out of the Lord's way, as you will see....] and i can't be sure, but all signs seem to point to "soon"...watch....

I dont know about the Ezek 17 reference. Verse 12 says it is all in reference to Babylon.

In my opinion, it relates to whether or not these are the last days. With the deception being rampant, I always use the caveat "If it's popular, it's wrong until proven right", and the idea that these are the last days is very popular.

If these are the last days, nothing we can do will thwart His plan.

If these are not, we still cannot thwart His plan, but His plan may not be to let these people get away with enslaving the entire planet.

I can see Him using a tiny minority (and that is what we are) to get the job done. That way, no one can brag.
