People like Louis Armstrong have had genuinely scary and bad beginnings, and in his case he went from poverty in New Orleans to being one of the best and most influential Jazz musicians of the 20th Century.
Whatever is the case about anything about Obama's parents or any other person from his youth, I judge him now on his merits, not on those of his parents or his full range of friends and past associates.

Yeah,but Louis Armstrong isn't typical of any race or gender. He was nothing less than a musical genius. Genius will always rise to the top.
