Title: Obama demands probe over passport breach

Barack Obama's campaign tonight is demanding a full investigation of reports that his passport files at the State Department were viewed without authorization.

“This is an outrageous breach of security and privacy, even from an Administration that has shown little regard for either over the last eight years. Our government’s duty is to protect the private information of the American people, not use it for political purposes. This is a serious matter that merits a complete investigation, and we demand to know who looked at Senator Obama’s passport file, for what purpose, and why it took so long for them to reveal this security breach,” Obama campaign spokesman Bill Burton said in a statement.

NBC News is reporting that several low-level State Department employees have been fired over the January incident, and the department is conducting an internal investigation.

I always ask myself what I'm supposed to think and work backward from there.

Seems that the original article changed from the "NBC NEWS" paragraph:

The Associated Press is reporting that two contract employees for the Statte Department have been fired and a third disciplined for inappropriately looking at the passport file. Spokesman Sean McCormack said the department itself detected the instances of "imprudent curiosity," which occurred separately on Jan. 9, Feb. 21, and March 14. He would not release the names of those who were fired and disciplined.

Obama is not too smart, otherwise he would shut his mouth and capitalize on the event itself. He is going to get a good lesson in hardball politics where they care less his color.

The "most liberal" member of the Senate in June of 2005, called for the Senate to rewrite the USA Patriot Act to prevent investigators from scanning library records and bookstore sales slips. That's it.

Senator Hillary Clinton just made a remarkable charge against her senate colleague and presidential rival Barack Obama. In a heated moment when she tried to portray him as an unknown, flip-flopping quantity she said: "You said you would vote against the PATRIOT Act -- you came to the senate and voted for it."

Ultimately everyone in the senate (apart from Senator Russ Feingold of Wisconsin) voted "for" for the PATRIOT Act and most senators voted for its subsequent re-authorization. The disagreement was in the details,(like his library card argument above...LOL) as the the readers of THREAT LEVEL well know.

Obama on the Senate floor in 2006:

"This is a complex issue. But only by working together and avoiding election- year politicking will we be able to give our government the necessary tools to wage the war on terror without sacrificing the rule of law.

"So, I will be supporting the PATRIOT Act compromise. But I urge my colleagues to continue working on ways to improve the civil liberties protections in the PATRIOT Act after it is reauthorized."

DESPITE HIS DOUBLE TALK..HE VOTED FOR THE PATRIOT ACT CHRISTINE.

Now that was a good post you made on that thread. The jackboots are easily heard by those who are conscious. And he DID vote to reathorize the Patriot Act.

Are you supposed to be priveledged because you're part of TheStateInc?

What other reason is there to join?

I mean, when you're a min-or-i-ty.

-- oh, that's right, there's the pussy and the money.

I do not believe that nine in ten men are rogues, but rogues tend to be uppermost. But from the standpoint of ethnic similarity theory, that's less of a problem under conditions of homogeneity.

So here's my plan:

Asian Americans must marry whites. Remaining whites must marry blacks and hispanics. Iterate 'till everyone's the same.

Make an exception for Jews though at first -- we'll need the money.

Then, all Jewish women must adopt Indians. Jewish men will go and make a new founding population among the natives.

Did I miss anything?

Hmmm. Maybe potholes. And farms.

Well we're movin on up, To the east side. To a dee-luxe apartment in the sky.
