How would he pull it off? I wondered.

How would Barack explain to his press groupies why he sat silent in a pew for 20 years as the Rev. Jeremiah Wright delivered racist rants against white America for our maligning of Fidel and Gadhafi, and inventing AIDS to infect and kill black people?

How would he justify not walking out as Wright spewed his venom about "the U.S. of K.K.K. America," and howled, "God damn America!"

My hunch was right. Barack would turn the tables.

Yes, Barack agreed, Wright's statements were "controversial," and "divisive," and "racially charged," reflecting a "distorted view of America."

But we must understand the man in full and the black experience out of which the Rev. Wright came: 350 years of slavery and segregation.

Barack then listed black grievances and informed us what white America must do to close the racial divide and heal the country.

The "white community," said Barack, must start "acknowledging that what ails the African-American community does not just exist in the minds of black people; that the legacy of discrimination—and current incidents of discrimination, while less overt than in the past—are real and must be addressed. Not just with words, but with deeds ... ."

And what deeds must we perform to heal ourselves and our country?

The "white community" must invest more money in black schools and communities, enforce civil rights laws, ensure fairness in the criminal justice system and provide this generation of blacks with "ladders of opportunity" that were "unavailable" to Barack's and the Rev. Wright's generations.

What is wrong with Barack's prognosis and Barack's cure?

Only this. It is the same old con, the same old shakedown that black hustlers have been running since the Kerner Commission blamed the riots in Harlem, Watts, Newark, Detroit and a hundred other cities on, as Nixon put it, "everybody but the rioters themselves."

Was "white racism" really responsible for those black men looting auto dealerships and liquor stories, and burning down their own communities, as Otto Kerner said—that liberal icon until the feds put him away for bribery.

Barack says we need to have a conversation about race in America.

Fair enough. But this time, it has to be a two-way conversation. White America needs to be heard from, not just lectured to.

This time, the Silent Majority needs to have its convictions, grievances and demands heard. And among them are these:

First, America has been the best country on earth for black folks. It was here that 600,000 black people, brought from Africa in slave ships, grew into a community of 40 million, were introduced to Christian salvation, and reached the greatest levels of freedom and prosperity blacks have ever known.

Wright ought to go down on his knees and thank God he is an American.

Second, no people anywhere has done more to lift up blacks than white Americans. Untold trillions have been spent since the '60s on welfare, food stamps, rent supplements, Section 8 housing, Pell grants, student loans, legal services, Medicaid, Earned Income Tax Credits and poverty programs designed to bring the African-American community into the mainstream.

Governments, businesses and colleges have engaged in discrimination against white folks—with affirmative action, contract set-asides and quotas—to advance black applicants over white applicants.

Churches, foundations, civic groups, schools and individuals all over America have donated time and money to support soup kitchens, adult education, day care, retirement and nursing homes for blacks.

We hear the grievances. Where is the gratitude?

Barack talks about new "ladders of opportunity" for blacks.

Let him go to Altoona and Johnstown, and ask the white kids in Catholic schools how many were visited lately by Ivy League recruiters handing out scholarships for "deserving" white kids.

Is white America really responsible for the fact that the crime and incarceration rates for African-Americans are seven times those of white America? Is it really white America's fault that illegitimacy in the African-American community has hit 70 percent and the black dropout rate from high schools in some cities has reached 50 percent?

Is that the fault of white America or, first and foremost, a failure of the black community itself?

As for racism, its ugliest manifestation is in interracial crime, and especially interracial crimes of violence. Is Barack Obama aware that while white criminals choose black victims 3 percent of the time, black criminals choose white victims 45 percent of the time?

Is Barack aware that black-on-white rapes are 100 times more common than the reverse, that black-on-white robberies were 139 times as common in the first three years of this decade as the reverse?

We have all heard ad nauseam from the Rev. Al about Tawana Brawley, the Duke rape case and Jena. And all turned out to be hoaxes. But about the epidemic of black assaults on whites that are real, we hear nothing.

Sorry, Barack, some of us have heard it all before, about 40 years and 40 trillion tax dollars ago.

Whites believe the most bizarre of delusions -- remote-controlled airplanes, explosives in the WTC -- but blacks are even worse. There is a book called "I Heard it Through the Grapevine," about the hysterically silly conspiracies blacks believe in.

Not only did white people invent AIDS to kill blacks (somehow it got out of control and attacked homosexuals) but birth control chemicals are put in Church's chicken so blacks can't have kids. Another one is that the "K" kosher symbol of food packages really stands for "KKK".

The belief in all impossible conspiracies is based on "Those evil people did it to me and it's everybody's fault but my own."

Scratch a leftist and you'll find a fascist or Communist or Nazi everytime.

What is the question ... did whites invent AIDS ??? Or did they invent it to kill blacks ?

Or are you suggesting neither part of this claim is true ? I believe AIDS was invented to kill the immune system. [Probably by whites].

I don't believe that Obama's suggestion that 'we' have a dialog on race should be rejected. If Buchanan's statistics are true, and they probably are, then 'the White side' should have a lot to say on this topic. The problem seems to be that Whitey is more inhibited than the Black side in expressing his frustrations. While the Darkies do hear in their black churches from preachers such as Obama's mentor and, like the homos or the Jews, have been successful in building their own, segregated communities, there are very few White or even 'traditionally White' organizations, clubs, colleges or TV stations. Somehow, voluntary segregation became a good thing for the Darkies but a terrible one for the Whites. Lacking prestigious or 'mainstream' fora for expressing their views, it's the Whities who have no voice and have nothing intelligent to say or dare not say it because they shut themselves up.

Obama's talk looks like a 'lecture' not because he means it that way but because the other side refuses to join the dialog. Instead, Whities are growing and nurturing the do-gooder welfare state, pumping money into collectivist institutions and initiatives, increasing everyone's dependence on the all-powerful State and expecting everyone, Blacks, Whites and Mutts to be eternally grateful for this heart-felt redistribution of resources.

The Blacks should be as grateful for the trillions compassionately 'invested' into their welfare as the Iraqis should be for the trillions invested into theirs. If this continues, the end results are going to be quite similar: more hate from the 'beneficiaries' of such lavish but destructive 'charities'.

Papa was a rolling stone.....

Consider this: 3 in 10 white kids live in a family with no father present, and that number is rising. Among Hispanic kids, 5 in 10 have no father at home. Fatherlessness in the African-American community is more depressing with 7 in 10 having no Dad in the household. When only urban areas are included, fatherless kids among black families climbs to 9 in 10. Fatherlessness is not a social illness-it is a deadly generational plague.

As usual, Pat Buchanan is dead on the money. B. Hussein Obama would be the absolute most horrific thing that ever happened to America. He is a disingenuous liar; an empty suit. Forget what he claims about the war. This is more than about ONE ISSUE..Iraq. It's about America. Can it get any worse than under Bush, you ask? Hell yes it can.

All of that was considered a down payment. This is why I am curious as to how the 'social gospel' and 'social justice' is defined by Obama and Pastor Wright. I'm trying to understand what Pastor Wright was bringing as an advisor to the campaign.

Was all this table tilting leading to Reparations? Not only do dems and pubs want to raise taxes, but perhaps exempt some. Let's see, who has the bulleye on their backs? Who will pay.

If what has been designed to lift and hasn't changed the situation for the better, they why have more of it? Simply to divide us one from another, making it easier to squeeze us all for the master. Easier to manipulate the political landscape. Then, jump in stir it up, raise more grievances, blame the people and then, apply a heavy dose of PC to cow some into silence.

PC needs to be thrown out, and eyes need to turn and see exactly who has been running this scam against us all.

can you support this with something?

If Obama’s claims are true that he was completely unaware that Wright’s trademark preaching style at the Trinity United Church of Christ has targeted “white” America and Israel, he would have been one of the few people in Chicago to be so uninformed. Wright’s reputation for spewing hate is well known.

"Wright’s sermons reflect “the victim mindset that is so self-defeating in the black community and one that is played on by weak black leadership that chooses to have black people identified as victims rather than inspiring them as people who have overcome. In posing as victims, they say the most prejudiced and vicious things, not only about whites but about America. They call it theology. In fact, it’s nothing but bigotry.”
~~ Juan Williams (Faux News)

In failing to condemn Wright himself and claiming that he was unaware of the preacher’s hate-filled speech, Obama is continuing a longstanding pattern.

Obama often refers to Wright as being “like an old uncle, who sometimes says things I don’t agree with.” Wright is not Obama’s “uncle” — a person born into a blood relationship — but a man he has cultivated for decades as a close friend, mentor and adviser.

Obama’s most famous celebrity backer, Oprah Winfrey began attending Wright’s church in 1984. Last year, Newsmax magazine reported that Winfrey abruptly stopped attending years ago, and suggested that she did so to distance herself from Wright’s inflammatory rhetoric. She soon found herself a target of Wright, who excoriated her for having broken with “traditional faith.”

The Reverend Wright’s anti-white theology that Senator Obama expressed surprise over is evident on the church’s website. The site says the congregation subscribes to what it calls the Black Value System, which is described as a disavowal of “our racist competitive society” and the pursuit of “middle- classness.” That is defined as a way for American society to “snare” blacks rather than “killing them off directly” or “placing them in concentration camps,” just as the country structures “an economic environment that induces captive youth to fill the jails and prisons.”

“In the 21st century, white America got a wake-up call after 9/11/01,” Wright wrote in the church-affiliated magazine Trumpet four years after the attacks. “White America and the western world came to realize that people of color had not gone away, faded into the woodwork or just ‘disappeared’ as the Great White West kept on its merry way of ignoring black concerns.”

Obama went on to claim that he first learned about Wright’s controversial statements when he began his presidential campaign. But this assertion conflicts with the fact that just before Obama’s nationally televised campaign kickoff rally on Feb. 10, 2007, the candidate disinvited Wright from giving the public invocation.

At the time, Wright explained: “When [Obama’s] enemies find out that in 1984 I went to Tripoli” to visit Col. Muammar el-Qaddafi with Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan, “a lot of his Jewish support will dry up quicker than a snowball in hell.”

According to Wright, Obama then told him, “’You can get kind of rough in the sermons, so what we’ve decided is that it’s best for you not to be out there in public.’” Still, Obama and his family prayed privately with Wright just before the presidential announcement.

(quoted from administrator and sourced and obamasucks.net)

My friend, you stated that "B. Hussein Obama would be the absolute most horrific thing that ever happened to America". 'Absolute' has a very special meaning. Within the context of your remarks, it means that Obama as president would be a bigger disaster or plague for America than McCain or Hillary in the White House. By writing 'ever', you are stating that Obama as president would do more harm to America than, say... W Bush or Clinton.

Your invoking Obama's association or possible affinities with Farakhan or Rev. Wright is not a solid-enough argument to back such a strong statement. In fact, it's not an argument at all because it's off topic. Incidentally, Obama's endorsement by Oprah troubles me a lot more than his attending Rev. Wright's church.

I have to confess that those are not statements that I ever heard when I was sitting in the pews at this church. This is a church that I have been a member of for 20 years. This is a well-established, typical, historically African- American church in the South Side of Chicago, with a wonderful set of ministries.

OBAMA: And, as I said, Anderson, if I had heard any of those statements, I probably would have walked up, and I probably would have told Reverend Wright that they were wrong.

But they were not statements that I heard when I was in church.

COOPER: So, no one in the church ever said to you, man, last week, you missed this sermon; Reverend Wright said this; or. . .

OBAMA: No.

COOPER: I mean, I think I read in your books that you listened to tapes of Reverend Wright when you were at Harvard Law School.

OBAMA: I did.

COOPER: So, you had no idea?

OBAMA: I understand.

The belief in all impossible conspiracies is based on "Those evil people did it to me and it's everybody's fault but my own."

...which is exactly why we need to take Obama up on his "challenge" to have open this for conversation!

America is not at war. The military is at war. America is at the mall and the Congress is out to lunch.

You really have to ask Wright and his followers why they won't just stop their whining and move to Liberia, Zimbabwe, Rwanda, or the "Democratic Republic of Congo" if whitey and America are so awful.

I'm all for Government funding of one-way tickets as much as I despise Government programs, but, color it the "return trip" and, actually, it would save us money in the long run.

Leave your passport with the attendant when you board the plane to leave and sign a statement renouncing your citizenship and saying that in exchange for transportation you will NEVER return.

Now how many would accept that deal? The New Black Panthers have "repatriation" as one of their platform planks. Shall we take them up on it?
