The Democratic Party is not a coherent entity, but is actually a coalition of identity-based "groups" (feminists, blacks, gays, etc.) united by only two things: a deep-seated sense of victimization, and a burning desire for government largesse and/or preferential treatment.

Body slam! The Democratic Party has been corrupted by just this. And all its candidates must try to pander to every interest (which is impossible) and in so doing, the country and its liberties are forgotten as much as BushTheConqueror has forgotten them. The Old Left (RIP) justb wanted to be left alone, as we do.

Yep. And as I've said before, we're all just one COP away from being sucked into TheCriminal(sic)IndustrialLegalPrisonComplex and losing oour freedoms and our finances and our families and our jobs. There are so many laws on the books that any local, state or federal goon can find SOMEthing to haul you in for if they want you. Congress and Chimp have both conspired to make it even easier now, and they get to take your property, too.
