In ordinary times, one could merely sit back and enjoy the poetic justice of it all. As so many here seem determined to do. But these are not ordinary times, and the outcome of this debacle may well be a McCain presidency. And that, my friends, is no laughing matter. Amen, brother. But how do you shake the the hard-headed habit voters out of their somnolence? If Obama was a female this Dim race would have been over a before it started. All the female and black votes would have made it a runaway ... a two-fer for women, liberal men and disenchanted Republicans. Then she would have been able to go after the hapless McCain full speed ahead. But, now the two Dim candidates are ripping themselves and their party apart thanks to Hitlery's "Audacity of Hopelessness" as David Brooks put it in yesterday's NYT. Mrs. Clinton is giving McCain a free ride and snatching defeat from the jaws of victory for the Democrats. There is only one candidate that offers a change from the last twenty dismal years. Godspeed Obama.

`sigh` Such shallow thinking. We'll see how much changes when he's elected. We'll see if he legalizes pot. We'll see if he cowtows to big biziness. We'll see how our prison population increases further. We'll see if he repeals the Patriot Act and reinstates the Freedoms Chimp has stolen. We'll see if he makes an immediate and total withdrawl from Iraq. We'll see if he taxes the shit out of us all....we'll see....
