I think I saw this video a year or two ago. It's not new, but very interesting and always worth re-posting.

The $64 tillion dollar question though is: Does this burning process give off more energy than it consumes? If so, then yes, salt water is truly fuel. If not, however, then it might only be an alternate way of separating the H2 from the O, with a process that consumes more energy than it gives off in combustion.

If the latter, this may still have some technical applications, but would be less than revolutionary. Most contemporary scientists would immediately discount the former possibility as an apparent violation of laws of physics, though it wouldn't be if there is some kind of cold fusion process involved.

Myself, I think water is funny stuff and that it has properties that are not fully understood. (The video seems to confirm that, at least!)
