This is what Obama needs to do to make me happy:

- He beats the Clintons
- He beats McCain/the Bushes/the Neofreaks

Everything else that he may be doing is just bonus freebies.

I believe that, with sufficient support, Obama could fulfill my minimal agenda.

Heading off a 3rd term for Bush - in the form of McCain - is enough for me.

I have a feeling that no matter how bad the guy turns out to be, he's going to be a real improvement over what we have now.

Indeed. I thought we hit the bottom with Billy Clinton but I was wrong. I can see how McCain and Hillary could easily take us to lower depths (and not everyone seems to mind).

Mr. Obama, if he beats these 2 could give this nation some time to catch its collective breath and, who knows, possibly regain some degree of self awareness and some common sense. He doesn't really need to do anything, just keep the government Clinton-free, Bush-free and Neocon-free.

Mr. Obama, if he beats these 2 could give this nation some time to catch its collective breath and, who knows, possibly regain some degree of self awareness and some common sense. He doesn't really need to do anything, just keep the government Clinton-free, Bush-free and Neocon-free.

That would be just peachy keen, but impossible. Still he appears to be the one who will do the least damage.

Indeed, only concepts can be pure, reality tends to be dirty. However, I am glad to see a lot of bad blood and acrimony between the Obamas and the Clintonistas. This decreases the likelihood that Clintonstas be given any appointments of great power in the Obama gov't. As for the Neocons, the Obamas are intelligent enough to keep them at a safe distance.

Of course it is. Politics tends to be entertaining, that's why I prefer Dr. Obamer. Try to imagine this country's politics with a menopausal bitch or some senile megalomaniac in the White House. It would not be funny. It would be as depressing as the past 7 years with the retard currently serving there if not more depressing.

I want someone with a good mind, with some sense of humor and, if possible, not insane, corrupt or homicidal.
