Every time ae add 50,000,000 people we must import 100% of the oil those 50,000,000 demand and use. To import that oil we have to print enough dollars to bid away from foreign consumers all of that oil we import. Please note that when we went from a population of 250,000,000 to 300,000,000 people all 300,000,000 Americans had to pay the higher oil price. Currently we are paying $100 plus for a barrel of oil. Let us fast forward to the near future when we pass Amnesty for Illegal Aliens and to a few years beyond that to when we add another 50,000,000 oil consumers to our population. The world has caught on to the fact that the dollars we print are becoming worhtless so we have to promise to pay even more for oil. If we have to bid away oil from foreigners who pay in their appreciating currencies to buy oil for 50,000,000 new Americans with our rapidly depreciating currency, we will also be increasing the price we pay for all basic food commodities, such as, rice, corn, beans, wheat and soy.
The dollar will continue to depreciate until we can no longer afford to buy imported oil and a lot of other imported items, suchas, food. That means that in the very near future 50% of Americans will not be able to afford to buy gas to go to work. It also means that those who are currently heating their homes with heating oil will also be hurt.
We have chosen to inflate our currency to buy imported oil and other natural resources from foreign countries. If we had been on a gold standard, we would have to cut wages every year we added people by immigration so people overseas could afford to buy our exports and we could earn enough of their currencies to pay for imported oil.
Instead we decided to paper the world with an interest bearing currency and to put off the day of reckoning to the day when the dollar collapses and we take a permanent 50% pay cut. Since Social Security is funded from current wages that means 43,000,000 Amercans on Social Security and disability will also take a 50% pay cut. Is it worth adding 50,000,000 immigrants and their children to the population to those 43,000,000 on social security who will be asked to cut their incomes in half? How many of the 43,000,000 will have nothing to eat? How many will have to commit suicide as an alternative to death by starvation?
I am not arguing for the gold standard. I am in favor of zero population growth and in cutting off all legal and illegal immigration.
