Barack Obama 45

Hillary Clinton 43

Barack Obama has taken the lead in Pennsylvania, a remarkable turnaround after trailing Hillary Clinton by 26 points in a PPP poll in the state just two and a half weeks ago.

Obama's steep rise could be a reflection of a growing sense among Democratic voters that a continued divisive nomination process will hurt the party's chances of defeating John McCain this fall. An Obama upset in Pennsylvania would be virtually certain to force Clinton out of the race.

Obama has his customary large advantage with black voters (75-17) and is keeping it relatively competitive with white voters (49-38)

He leads across all age groups except senior citizens and balances Clinton's 10 point lead with women with his own 15 point lead with men.

No, it wouldn't. She's still hoping he will die between now and the convention and the "family" no doubt knows people who could help with that.

If he's nice to her, she still might be willing to invite him to be VP.

True, another timely death certainly wouldn't be the first for the Clintons.

Don't believe a word of it. Hillary has a lock on PA. This is a setup so that when Hillary wins, they'll make the old Billy Bob claim of the "come back kid". The Clinton believe they are entitled to the White House. Hillary was promised the Presidency for "standing by her man".

Clinton Holds Lead Over Obama in Pennsylvania Ahead of Primary By Jim Malone Washington 02 April 2008

A new public opinion poll shows Democrat Hillary Clinton's lead over rival Barack Obama in Pennsylvania is down slightly as both contenders campaign in advance of the primary there on April 22. VOA National correspondent Jim Malone has the latest on the U.S. election campaign from Washington.

The new survey by Quinnipiac University in Connecticut shows Clinton with a nine-point lead over Obama in Pennsylvania. That is down from a 12-point Clinton lead two weeks ago.
