Specifically, there was a protest and counter-protest that took place on May 14, 2005. The issues that evoked the controversy specifically arise from the fact that the tax-supported monument has quotes that read "It was better before they came," and "This land was Mexican once, was Indian always and will be again." The Mayor of Baldwin Park was present in support of the monument and the protesters who support the continued display of these racist, separatist and discriminatory comments." Dalton's attorney, Richard Ackerman says, "I do not want to believe that a filing such as this is necessary in a supposedly diverse society that supports the First Amendment rights of my client. Worse yet is the fact that I am forced to defend a 66-year-old US resident who was injured because of her fight against government-sponsored racism and hate speech. The Mayor ought to be protecting California's actual residents instead of protecting those who violate the law and those that apparently support the contention that America should be devoid of whites, African-Americans, Asian-Americans and many others."

John Tyson, CEO of Tyson Foods, thanked LULAC for supporting Tyson as the company has been prosecuted by the Federal government for importing and employing many of the 40,000 Mestizos which he bragged that his company employed. That’s 40,000 jobs which could go to hardworking White Americans, if the greedy capitalist traitor was forced to pay a competitive living wage. Tyson didn’t mention how many of those forty-thousand Mestizos are illegal invaders. Apparently Tyson sees himself in league with LULAC against the U.S. Department of Justice, which has maintained that Tyson Foods imports and smuggles illegal immigrants into the U.S. to use as cheap labor. Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee gave what may have been the most sickening performance at the noon luncheon, pretending to be joking when he said that “Pretty soon, southern White guys like me may be in the minority”. Newspaper reports indicate that the LULAC crowd roared with laughter in response. Huckabee continued by saying that he supported an open-door immigration policy, as well as taxpayer-funded college scholarships and free medical care and other benefits for illegal immigrants.

The rhyming scam artist told LULAC members that together, blacks and Hispanics could overthrow Whites because , as he stated,“In the top 100 cities, we are the majority”.

The U.S. Coast Guard, $15,000. Yes, I want illegal aliens protecting our coastal waters please. The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, $50,000. It seems all of their (our) advertising dollars goes to something called the Office of Minority Health. I didn’t know there was such a thing. Is there a Department of White Health? You already know the answer. Who’s footing the bill for all this? That would be you, Joe. The American taxpayer is like the convict who’s handed a shovel and forced to dig his own grave.
