Title: URGENT -STOP H.R. 5405 (Secure Social Security Card ~end run around Real ID)

URGENT ACTION ALERT-STOP H.R. 5405 By zoi | April 9, 2008

This is yet another plot to enslave the American people in an unconstitutional framework of databases under the guise of “security”. Recently Congressman Mark Kirk from Illinois 10th District introduced a bill to create a “Secure Social Security Card”. This new card is clearly a run around to the state’s opposition to Real ID and we must do all in our power to prevent it from becoming law.

FIRST: Watch this short video recorded at the town hall meeting where Congressman Kirk talks about the “Secure Social Security Card”: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PrsJVZe41Dg

<

SECOND: Review and comment on the in depth article about it here: http://www.restoretherepublic.com/content/view/627/71/

THIRD: Contact your congressman and instruct them to vote against HR 5405: https://forms.house.gov/wyr/welcome.shtml

FORTH: Post this email on your blog, post it in forums, forward it to every member in your address book.

FIFTH: Track the status of HR 5405 at http://www.govtrack.us/congress/bill.xpd?bill=h110-5405

Unlike Real ID where the States can rise up and fight it independently, the “Secure Social Security Card” must be fought at the federal level by contacting our members of congress.

This is another attempt at connecting the American people into the international databases of the New World Order. They are failing with Real ID and are attempting to use the SS card as the bridge. They will only succeed if we let them and you need to take the steps help us defeat this plan before it takes root.

H.R.5405

Sponsor: Rep Kirk, Mark Steven [IL-10] (introduced 2/13/2008) Cosponsors (1)
Latest Major Action: 2/13/2008 Referred to House committee. Status: Referred to the House Committee on Ways and Means.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

SUMMARY AS OF:
2/13/2008--Introduced.

Social Security Identity Theft Prevention Act - Amends title II (Old Age, Survivors and Disability Insurance) of the Social Security Act to require Social Security cards to be made of tamperproof and wear-resistant material (currently, of banknote paper), and include a digital image of the cardholder as well as an encrypted, machine-readable electronic record containing biometric identifiers.

You are correct this is an end run around Real ID.

Thanks for all the good info on both posts FF.

Something else nagging at me now for about a week. Lucky you. Do you remember over the last few years where MILLIONS of personal records of Military and Civil Servants, etc., went missing? I think it was like 26M veterans. I know there was someone that used to track that, Wayne?Somebody... do you remember that?

Anyway, I'm dragging two dots together with this biometric Id thing, whereas this stolen identity info, could be loaded into a db against the wrong person. Imagine trying to prove you are not who the card scan says you are!

This stunt with the Social Security card smells bad. JMHO

I remember the information going missing but don't remember who was tracking it. Yes this mess could get real deep. Scary stuff.

Edit: the biometric identifiers is the face recognition stuff.

If I find it, I'll post a link over to you.

Misspokalated. Sorry about that. I did think the Real Id was going to carry some chip that had other information about you on it.. like, medical conditions, prescriptions, political affiliation, bank accounts... so, I guess I must've tossed that sort of thing in the bio-bag brain cell. Keep me straight!

Thanks.

That's what is commonly being spread about Real ID. Nope, creates a shared international face recognition data base. Just what I want Saudi and China to have!

Ohhhhhhhh. I guess the good thing is that people don't want it no matter what.

Nope, creates a shared international face recognition data base. Just what I want Saudi and China to have!

Oh man, this is nuts.

Thanks for the clarification.

How well I remember. I posted to a thread about this within the past three weeks. I was one of the vets who had this happen to me. I received a letter of apology from the govt and the letter stated it could not and would not ever happen again. Guess what! About two months or so later I received another letter stating it happened again. The lousy bastards!

All those who had been compromised had their social security numbers, complete military medical records and service records deliberty put out their for all to see. It wasn't by accident. We weren't the only ones who had sensitive records compromised. Hospital workers, bank employees and God only knows who else's info was compromised.

I guess they didn't divulge enough peoples sensitive info and now want to trap and compromise even more. I seriously doubt that the guilty parties to this crap probably got a raise. I never heard if anyone really got fired. Like the crooked cops, they were put on administrative leave with pay and then brought back into their same old jobs once things quited down and probably got a bonus.

Oh Nooooooo!! I'm sorry to hear this.. Awful. I remember a story where some guy from the Pentagon took his laptop home from work loaded with personal data, and stopped to have lunch. When he came back to his car, the laptops were gone. And week after week, there were stories about people with high security, doing something impossibly stupid.

You just know it wasn't accidental or sheer incompetence. Something is going on. Just wonder what they are doing with the data.

I did find one site, but not the one I was looking for: http://idtheft.worldwidewarning.net/

But -- so the questions you're most likely to get about me, 'Well, what is this guy going to do for me? What's the concrete thing?'...So we'll go down a series of talking points.

But the truth is, is that, our challenge is to get people persuaded that we can make progress when there's not evidence of that in their daily lives.
