I'm thinking we have some died in the wool Ds, and that might explain, in part, the Obama pimping.
Poster Comment:
I'm a reformed R, who now is a electoral non-participant.
I'm sorry, you're just a simple minded tool that the Republican Party plays like a violin.
(It's just that your use of idiotic, moronic, nine year old name calling ... like you just did above .... makes you sound like a freeper - and all freepers are Republicans.)
By the way, are you glad that you voted for Bush TWICE? The GOP did a great job manipulating you on that one. Huh?
I supported Bush when he deserved to be supported, and I confronted him when he was wrong...MUD
You voted for Bush twice, TWO TIMES, even though all of FU gave you good reasons not to do it (use search function - October 2004). You however were too stoooooooopid to listen.
And you were too stoooooopid because the GOP can make you do anything it wants at any time it wants. But don't feel bad. The GOP loves stooopid goober like yourself who buy the propaganda and who are incapable of critical thought.
Mud, as everyone over on FU has apparently noticed, you're a moron. And that makes me feel sorry for you.
I'm going to give you a bit of advice for a successful life: Just because the government tells you that it's true doesn't mean that it really is true. And just because the government shills like Fox News tell you something is true doesn't mean it's true. You have to sift the fact for yourself, or in your case, find a smart person to sift the facts for you.
If you follow this advice, I guarantee you that life won't be so confusing. And you won't have to hide behind silly, nine year old level freeper insults - like you do above.
Are there any here who consider themselves a D? An R?
I am a republican division leader in El Paso county which allows me the privilege of attending boring nearly useless meetings multiple times a year where, usually, any thing meaningful is avoided like Godzilla with AIDS on viagra.
If I were totally honest about my feelings they shoot me in the back of the head.
I realize that by participating I am giving legitimacy to the system, which it does not deserve. And I do not like that part of participating.
Republicans own this county.
I am doing it for two reasons.
One - I have business interests that can be hurt by legislation. I need for me and my colleges to get an early word as to what legislation is being considered that my affect out pitiful little interests. And I need to know that my representatives know my face and name.
In smaller communities you may be surprised how eager reps are to know your thoughts, esp if they think you have some kind of organization behind you.
They know that most folks are passive, and the few that take the time and effort to talk to them about issues may very well influence the sideliners.
Two - As someone else said on this thread - I want to do whatever I can to stop the Bush/McCain train. If that means BO, well, that's what it means.
Then I'll fight the next fight as one is always coming.
As I said before , acting like a freeper or a nine year old just makes you come off like a Republican - and you don't want to be associated with that group of boy buggering liars do you?
You gave this impression when you tossed out the first mindless insult on this thread (see above) and your most recent addition just confirms what I've suspected, and what I've just been reading people saying over on FU - you're a mindless moron incapable of doing more than tossing out the sort of silly insult I just quoted.
Then I'll fight the next fight as one is always coming.
If we're still allowed. McCain's jackboots would grow ever stronger.

Looked at the numbers for children killed or left orphaned in Iraq lately?
Sure have, which is why I said that Republicans weren't 'pro-life', either. You are right about sleeping through the November election, however...nothing will change; regardless of who wins.

Sounds like your jealous because you've spent your entire adult life being suckered by the two party fraud. Sucks to be you I guess. Now go back to sucking off your children and your priest scumbag.
Sounds like you've got a short fuse and a small filthy mind devoid of intelligent or pertinent replies.
I cling to hope of a 50 state repudiation of the traitorous, neocon Plutocrat Party
What I can't understand is the thinking of people that refuse to acknowledge that Obama is head and shoulders above those suits full of shit that snickered and sneered at Ron Paul during the sham debates.
The Zionists despise him along with the La Raza gang but the beat of blind hatred here just goes on and on.
If he gets a friendly Congress, Obama will do more to expand the welfare state than any President since Lyndon Johnson. That doesn't put him above the other candidates in my book, it puts him in the same league. On domestic issues, he might even be worse than either Clinton or McCain, and he's only marginally better on foreign policy (he may not send more troops to the Middle East, but I don't look forward to trillions of our tax dollars being sent as "aid" to Africa either).
And I don't have any more use for Obama's poverty pimp pals in the NAACP than I have for McCain and Hillary's sponsors in AIPAC and La Raza.
Until the "government" requested my services, I had never fired a gun, never owned one, still do not own one.
I was rejected for gov services, as you know.
I've never fired a weapon at a 'human' and never hope to have to do so: but if it comes to that, trust me, I have the capabilities of many small countries to do so.
The day of induction, I went thru the Army physical altho I was Air force. Of 713 men no one failed, not one. We shipped out that night.
If you could walk in, you were in. I saw two doctors, one listened to my heart for about 5 seconds, said yep, you got one, next. The other was a shrink at the end of the physical that asked if I could drive a tractor, I replied no and he said, "next". I was in.
To me they are born not made and it is a tough life as I have known both females and males that have lived it.
I got hit on by a couple of gay women out in California about the time I turned 30. Both of them were very reclusive and avoided contact with most people. It's like they wanted to give it one hard try at being straight before admitting they were gay and entering the lifestyle. It's like they preferred to be straight. This convinced me that they're born not made.
Too bad. Both were easier to get along with than straight women. Sort of like hanging around with a guy. Sure were lousy in the sack however.
I'd like to meet a lesbian that's athletic and hot and likes me.
Mmmmmm... lesbians.
"When I despair, I remember that all through history the way of truth and love has always won. There have been tyrants and murderers and for a time they seem invincible but in the end, they always fall -- think of it, ALWAYS." ~ Mahatma Ghandi
I'd like to meet a lesbian that's athletic and hot and likes me.
Mmmmmm... lesbians.
I used to know a weirdo in L.A. who liked to go to this big disco in West Hollywood and watch the lesbians dance. I never could figure it out. It's not like he was going to pick one up. From what he told me, he just sat there a looked like a freak. Kept asking me if I wanted to go with him. He finally flipped out my girlfriend and I had to ditch him.
I thought this way for a while, but I've returned to my belief that there is a political left and right. They aren't as crisply defined, but there is a difference.
Just two crime families fighting over the same turf. The only difference is how they extort the protection fees.
"If you have time, use google and take a look at what is going on there now, preparations are being made for much larger affairs than Iraq. If you take the time, study it well with a large world map in view, you will see what is afoot."
I will check it out. One reason Guamanians are so ticked off is that when we retook Guam and the Norther Marianna Islands, the military hung on to every hectare/acre the Japanese military had seized. It was all the best part of the Island for the most part too.
I know too that the oldest Christian Church in that part of the world is on Guam. I saw it still in roofless stone shell form. It seems that we tortured Chimorros to 'convince' them to adopt our form of government with an Executive, legislative and judicial branch over their traditional patriarchal form of governance.
Chimorros are half Chimorro and half Spanish for the most part. You see, the Spanish murdered all the men and boys taking all the females for themselves.
Now we allow companies to set up clothing sweatshops employing Koreans, Filipinos and others to make clothes on the cheap living in same sex barracks.
Because it is in the U.S. protectorate, clothing can wear the "made in America" label and not actually be made here.
Chimorros don't get the jobs. They are all pacified by U.S. welfare payments to pacify them and allow free access to their islands. When we were there, they struck me as fat, bored, and very very friendly. (In the Northern Marianas that is.)
We really tripped out the Navy folks when our Utah Spacial Forces units arrived at the Naval Air Station in Guam. The Black sailors wanted to know why this very active duty looking bunch of folks was almost all White. Out of a large group of men we had maybe two Blacks among us.
This was unnerving to them. We also for the most part wore sterile (patch less) OG 107 uniforms, Vietnam vintage jungle greens with the slanting pockets. Even in the eighties this was an obsolete uniform, but we being SF did what we wanted, of course.
I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies. If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around the bankswill deprive the people of all property until their children wake-up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered. The issuing power should be taken from the banks and restored to the people, to whom it properly belongs.
Thomas Jefferson, Letter to the Secretary of the Treasury Albert Gallatin (1802)
Now prove to us that the GOP didn't make an absolute ass out of you with their propaganda and tell us how Bush fixed the deficit.
Neocon Republicans love big spending, big government, and budget deficits as much as Democrats do, especially when those deficits are created by unending wars and occupations.
If we selected 1000 citizens at random and gave them jobs randomly as president, vice president, congressman, senator, cabinet member, etc. then we would do much much better than we are doing now with powerful monied interests dominating us.
Amen.
I'm ready to draw straws...we'd be lots better off.
Bill Buckley made a similar suggestion many years ago.
I cling to hope of a 50 state repudiation of the traitorous, neocon Plutocrat Party
It doesn't explain me. I changed my registration two years ago from Republican to Independent, where it remains.
Why'd you wait so long? I dropped the GOPer label after the shock of 9-11 wore off and I realized that the GOPer elites were complicit in that great crime.
Now that they have nominated McCain over Paul, I won't go back. Instead, I will do whatever I can to hasten their destruction.
