I'm thinking we have some died in the wool Ds, and that might explain, in part, the Obama pimping.

I also think the plutocratic 2% who control small town America know the jig is up.

Most of that 2% haven't a clue as to what is really occurring. They are just stolid, materialistic, and afraid of losing their toy collection and the false respect that money brings.

Only about the upper one tenth of 1 percent, or less, really have any clear idea of the game being played. If the Globalist/Bankster plans come to fruition most of that 2% will be "liquidated" as a threat to "their betters". Some might be allowed to live as overseers and such but the true elite want no threat, real or perceived, to their megalomaniacal intentions.

mcCain's choice should be interesting. i'm still thinking that it could very well be lieberman. that could very well be the plan of the PTB.

I began to doubt the Republicans in 1989 when I was reading in the Wall Street Journal about things that George HW Bush was actually doing as president.

For me it was about '86 with the Tax increases and roll back of the Reagan Tax cuts (as an aside I figured out about that time that Reagan was suffering from the onset of Alzheimer's - when Nancy had to prompt him as to what to say to reporters when disembarking Marine One) that inspired a boom in the economy. It was clear to me that the boom was upsetting the elites as a lot of people were making hay and rapidly amassing fortunes which made them players. Real Charities, not just the phony Red Cross, were getting massive infusions of Philanthropic cash - which gave the ability to counter eugenics kill-offs of "useless eaters". The Global elite, Rothschilds-Rockefuckers et. al., did not want anyone to rise to a position which could allow a well intended wealthy individual to begin opposing their plans - which have been in place since at least the early 1800's if not before.

If we selected 1000 citizens at random and gave them jobs randomly as president, vice president, congressman, senator, cabinet member, etc. then we would do much much better than we are doing now with powerful monied interests dominating us.

Agreed without reservation.

I thought this way for a while, but I've returned to my belief that there is a political left and right.

Well many, if not most, Republicans have not had a problem with calling Democrats communists for many years ... it appears obvious to me that they aren't very close to calling Republicans the fascist plutocrats that they have morphed into.

I think the party will play a stronger role in that selection than is typical in most conventions.

And, if they don't, or if a choice such as Sanford of S.C., or Crist of FL. is not made (someone outside the beltway) then they've completely lost their way.

Rice would add nothing to the ticket, IMO, regardless of who gets the D presidential nomination.

I remain convinced that an Obama-Webb ticket would be a huge winner.

Here's my bitch. I think our foreign policy is many pay grades above the office of the presidency. One (s)elected man/woman isn't going to defund the MIC while it's in full earning potential. We're talking about trillions and trillions of dollars in profit and countless corporations and jobs depend on war as their Mother’s milk. That richest 2% of people and governments you speak of will *never* tolerate a penny less in profit, and this reality was the sole reason I never gave RP a snowball‘s chance in hell despite having all the issues “right“.

OTOH, on the domestic front, the political left irks me b/c the social programs they love so much costs me money. I'm like a lot of other folks, I simply can't afford to give even more to a central government for redistribution. I also want the political left to get their laws off my guns. Obama is capable of further damage to my bottom line, and he’s despicable on the 2nd amendment. How a man who proposes that self defense in one’s home is illegal, can be accepted by so many, sucks.

So, to sum up my political feeling, McCain is correct; we'll be in Iraq for the next 100 years. Neither Obama nor Clinton will have the power or authority to change that, should they be (s)elected. The points that matter to me most make Obama the worst choice between the three.

"My fear is that we will have four more years of Bush in the form of McCain. I will cast my vote wherever I think it will be most effective in stopping this."

LOL...a dyed-in-the-wool RAT...surprise!! Surprise!!

"Going by the record of the past 7.5 years, I would prefer to take a chance with either Democratic candidate than to continue on our present course - which is what McCain has promised us. Given what McCain has promised, voting for McCain ratifies the Bush policies and McCain would come to power with what he believes is a genuine mandate to continue them. All in all, a very dangerous situation."

LOL...so, EMPOWER the RATS!! Bwahahahahahaha...

"I also think the plutocratic 2% who control small town America know the jig is up. We're in for a crash. They'll be front page pictures of bread lines and of the helicopter on the roof of the Baghdad embassy soon. McCain is old and sick and he'll be gone soon, so he can absorb the blame and then die. Fox News and the rest of the goob foolers have already assured the people in Wichita and hick Pennsylvania that McCain isn't a real conservative and he isn't one of them, so the failure can be easily disowned when it comes. The veep choice is the interesting one - he's the one that will be chosen to protect he plutocracy."

very well said. that 2nd amendment position that obama holds is appalling, imo. i'm changing my mind about wanting him to have the op to fulfill his promises for change, on that one issue. no matter what, we cannot as a populace be disarmed. that is still the only thing that the tyrants fear.
