Poster Comment:

The more people see of Obama the less they like. Has everyone at 4um heard that:

Obama voted to make it illegal for homeowners to use a gun to protect themselves against home invasions?

Obama voted twice to make it legal to kill babies born alive due to a mistake in a partial birth abortion. He made it lawful in Illinois to incinerate babies who were born after a partial birth abortion's failure.

There are other votes and statements out there. He was gaining in Pennsylvania until he opened his mouth.

12 days ago I posted an article showing Obama'a big momentum in Pennsylvania. At that time I was hoping he could finally do Hillary in, but now I am not so sure.

The SUSA poll a week ago had her with an 18-point lead.

I have always assumed she would win Pennsylvania by about 20 points and, frankly, she has to do so.

She has to do more than that. She's got win by that much in pretty much all the remaining states.

She won't. Winning by that much in PA would likely only prolong her trainwreck.

You misunderestimate (lol) the damage BO did to himself by his weekend gaffe. Essentially if you're anti-immigration, you're bitter. I don't think the educated anti-illegal immigrant folk will go for that. All Hillary has to do is very publically and soon sign up Gore for the VP spot and she's in. Run on the alternative energy investment bubble for the rest of her presidency.

Yep. Obama is cooked. Hillary has won all the big, essential states anyway.

Okay, we'll have to wait and see. Obama, however, can lose all the remaining states and still take the nomination. All that's required is he not lose that badly.

The math is stacked heavily against Hillary at this point. Obama's had lots of attention but I think if it starts to look like Hillary has a chance again, her own hypocrisy and policies will be back in the light.

Odds still strongly favor Obama, according to the people willing to put money on the election.

No it isn't. The super delegates are part of the equation and they will favor the most electable candidate, which right now sure the heck isn't Obama. Also Florida and Michigan lost their say by moving their primaries up and both of those states would have gone to Hillary. Hillary will get the nomination barring some major blunder on her part before the convention. The Obama followers can throw fits and riot, but that is the most likely outcome right now.

Not like I really give a crap either way. But a lot of 4Um posters are starting to show they are more anti-Republican than they are pro-freedom and it makes me sick. Having their adopted poster boy go down to defeat would serve them right.

Of the 3, I prefer Obama take it. The USA is screwed no matter which of the 3 wins. Given that, it makes sense to prefer the one that is least likely to start WWIII and otherwise end the imperialism. I know its probable that Obama won't bring all the troops home, but Cain will increase imperialism and bombing.

As a country, the USA has deeply injured the world and it's a national obligation to right that wrong as much as possible. For us to try to safeguard our 2nd Amendment rights at the expense of lives of innocents worldwide doesn't fly in my book.

Again, since the USA is gonna die anyway no matter which of the 3 it is, the least we can do is die alone and let the rest of world be. I won't vote for Obama as it's much more beneficial such as it is to vote for Ron Paul or Bob Barr, but that's my position and preference.

Mildly colorful slam. But at least I'm not a de facto accomplice of international tyranny, as it seems you are content to be.

Mildly colorful slam.

you're the one among us that has stood up against them IMHO the most. and you've been the most successful at it. though obviously they are not defeated. and you've paid a price. a lot of people respect you for it - a lot.

I don't blame Robin & others for supporting obama a bit. he's not as proven to be slime like the others.

I remember some basic bible lessons, that with god on our side we cannot be defeated. and when He joins the fight, that is when we'll win. but before that happens man's inability to rule on this earth will be demonstrated so that all can see. to facilitate a maximum choice among us all of either life or death. the one who made us respects perseverence & long-suffering. There can be great fruits come from this.

a man that can master the software tools as you've done and at the same time be a real lawyer as you are, that is a man who has worked very hard for a long period of time with very tremendous talent and intelligence as well to make it happen. If you'd been a typical man who'd done that in our country, then you'd make a half million a year every year up here and loaf at the same time. We respect you for living in Ecuador and doing the things you've done.

I know what it's like to write software, as I've done it, and I can tell from your work and the way you talk that you are top-of-the-line. I wish I had the money to hire you to work on a new project, but I don't. I would like to know what software to study so I can write stuff like what you've wrote though.

as you know 99+% of the people don't take the principled stands that you've done. and of those few who did like you very few were able to make it work as well as you. its been a rugged road, but you've come through it far better than almost anyone else would've. I know this, yet I know little about you.

because believe me others have paid a high price too, others have similar stories too and paid high prices too, that's something I personally know. but none more magnificantly than you.

hope I haven't upset you or embarassed you. sorry if I have. but you seem a little out-of-sorts today. and you're our hero. we don't want that to happen.

Hi Red, I'm back. Thanks again for the very kind words.

because believe me others have paid a high price too, others have similar stories too and paid high prices too, that's something I personally know. but none more magnificantly than you.

Very kind words indeed. But I can't accept this compliment. Most people don't give a hoot about freedoms. Of those that do, most only complain and a few take action rising to civil disobedience. While I've done that, there are a large number of names and/or faces I personally know that have dwarfed me in their efforts and in the prices they have paid. So no, this compliment I must objectively defer to numerous others.

but you seem a little out-of-sorts today. and you're our hero. we don't want that to happen.

I think this is the first thread on 4um where I've gotten down n dirty. But when it comes to the wanton destruction of life, it seemed an appropriate time to stand up for the right to live. I'm surprised to learn that these few who challenge me don't care if Iraqis enjoy that right.

True, I was shocked at your use of language.

"these few who challenge me don't care if Iraqis enjoy that right."

That is your opinion, which has nothing to do with our rights.

Your argument is with voters that have voted in huge numbers for three people that have not said they will stop the war in Iraq. Supporting any one of the three is support for more war, more blood and dying, the very thing you abhor.

There is no reconciliation of the two.

Shock effect is one literary tool used by writers. I'm glad it went over as intended.

Um.... my opinion has nothing to do with your rights. Very true Cyni. You can join Peppa in rehearsing your posts so they make some kind of sense.

Obama has said he would withdraw US troops from Iraq. He might not do any, he might not do all, but Cain definitely won't and Hillary is less likely to than Obama. Ergo, based on this information, the overall chance of reduced military presence in Iraq is best with Obama.

But again, if they are all the same, why would you care which of the 3 gets the presidency?

Ping...

Let me disabuse you of two things, lest you retain any semblance of a false premise.

Your "shock" value on me was totally wasted, whether it was intended or not. As to an example of its value, let me explain it in simple terms. Attending Church and having a minister use such language has ZERO value, the same as yours, as I and others had the false characterization that you were one that refrained from gutter language.

Personally, now that I know you are one that resorts to such vulgarity, I will merely place you in league with a few others on the 4um. In that vein anything you have to say in the future will be viewed as coming from a vulgarian.

As for the statement concerning gun rights, there is no way you can paper over that statement. You have diminished yourself in the eyes of many, if that is what you care to leave us with, so be it.

Rehearse??? I did tell Peppa you were reading. Most everyone knows that.

Again, that brings zero credit to your now empty ledger.

Not welcome Neil.

You have added to the harm that has been done to 4um. That I resent. Your intent is of no interest to me, the result is.

Helping to destroy what belongs to others is nothing I would be satisfied or proud of. I gave no criticisms, stating observations of a character that you are content to leave us with is hardly something to be proud of.

Vulgarity as a shock treatment, would result in a Pastor to which few people listen. Combine that with a condescending message, it leaves the church nearly empty.

Your choice, Christines church.

Theory B: Assuming Theory A is true, the Marxist gun grabber taking away our firearms for the Establishment is what we should all hope for.
