Passing the House of Representatives on a voice vote, S. 1858 has been sent to President Bush for signature. The Newborn Genetic Screening bill was passed by the Senate last December. The bill violates the U.S. Constitution and the Nuremberg Code, writes Twila Brase, president of the Citizen’s Council on Health Care (CCHC). “The DNA taken at birth from every citizen is essentially owned by the government, and every citizen becomes a potential subject of government-sponsored genetic research,” she states. “It does not require consent and there are no requirements to inform parents about the warehousing of their child’s DNA for the purpose of genetic research. Already, in Minnesota, the state health department reports that 42,210 children of the 780,000 whose DNA is housed in the Minnesota ‘DNA warehouse’ have been subjected to genetic research without their parents’ knowledge or consent.”

What If Barack Obama Is Not The Savior We Think He Is?

Barack Obama believes he can have his way in Washington and somehow create a world of peace and brotherhood. It cannot be created politically, a world of total peace where only love and joy is ever felt. Such a world IS available to us for the choosing, right now. But it cannot be created politically.

An opposite world is also available to us for the choosing, a world of pain, sickness, suffering and death called ... "hell." But hell cannot be made into heaven politically, as Barack Obama and most Democrats would have us believe.

Barack Obama is a political descendent of Karl Marx, who was Christian in his youth and must have felt the spirit of the earliest Christian community in Jerusalem as ideal:

"All the believers were one in heart and mind. No one claimed that any of his possessions was his own, but they shared everything they had. With great power the apostles continued to testify to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus, and much grace was upon them all. There were no needy persons among them. For from time to time those who owned lands or houses sold them, brought the money from the sales and put it at the apostles' feet, and it was distributed to anyone as he had need." (Acts 4:32-35)

In the beginning, Karl Marx could have sensed that a one heart, one mind sharing state of being has to be chosen voluntarily. No one can be forced to experience heaven or any ideal reaching close to heaven's gates.

But Karl Marx had the ego of a dictator. He decided people were not going to choose an ideal society willingly. Nor should people be allowed to make wrong choices and learn from their mistakes. He decided to use the government gun to force his ideal upon everyone. Thus his Communist Manifesto:

1. Abolition of property in land and application of all rents of land to public purposes.

2. A heavy progressive or graduated income tax.

3. Abolition of all right of inheritance.

4. Confiscation of the property of all emigrants and rebels.

5. Centralization of credit in the hands of the State, by means of a national bank with State capital and an exclusive monopoly.

6. Centralization of the means of communication and transport in the hands of the State.

7. Extension of factories and instruments of production owned by the State; the bringing into cultivation of waste-lands, and the improvement of the soil generally in accordance with a common plan.

8. Equal liability of all to labour. Establishment of industrial armies, especially for agriculture.

9. Combination of agriculture with manufacturing industries; gradual abolition of the distinction between town and country, by a more equable distribution of the population over the country.

10. Free education for all children in public schools. Abolition of children's factory labour in its present form. Combination of education with industrial production.

Today's Marxist-oriented news media and today's Marxist public schools will continue propagandizing, but so-called "progressives" like Barack Obama have been successful in implementing the majority of this manifesto in most countries of the world.

At what price?

In communist countries, tens of millions of non-believers in Marxism have been slaughtered in cold blood or left to rot in political prisons.

In countries where "progressives" have advanced their socialist agenda without resorting to murder and political prisons, their programs have severely stifled the natural expression of the inventive and creative spirit of hundreds of millions of people. Bureaucratic government intervention in national economies and school systems has led to chronic unemployment, shortages of goods and services, unnaturally screwed up economics, and severely limited freedom and opportunity ... poverty in a million and one ways.

Socialized medicine, "universal health care," uses the latest outmoded technology and decades old knowledge to keep bodies limping along, but "kills" the spirit. People find themselves "dying" for more efficient health care and freedom of choice ... and freedom from bureaucratic hassles.

Mankind's genius for survival in socialist-oriented countries manifests as blackmarketeers, smugglers, system cheaters, and of course ... politicians and bureaucrats.

The only way it can work is if ALL have the hearts of the early Christians, and the principle of the golden rule is in effect by and for ALL the people....do unto your neighbor as you would have done to yourself, or as Jesus said, Love your neighbor as yourself....but that doesn't mean to make the state God and let it run roughshod over you, pretending it has the people's welfare in mind while it gathers all the riches of the people unto itself. It means having people who love God [Jesus Christ] and who are working to establish His kingdom of peace and joy and plenty according to the rules of His kingdom. As long as we have people who do not share the Christian faith or at least the Christian ideals, we will be subject to dictators, unless we rise up enmasse and throw the bums out.

In the Northern Colony of Plymouth, only some worked, and yet were required to provide for ALL whether the ALL COULDN'T work, or simply WOULDN'T work. Only some of the colonists came over to spread the gospel...some came over to get rich quick. That's how I remember it as well, in addition to the fact it spoils the spirit, and will to produce.
