The old divisive hamster wheel games the politicians play with us don't have much impact here. You are not going to get the same bait reactions here as you do elsewhere with some of your stuff. Have some fun talking politics in earnest and you will learn and even perhaps find things within you to share you had no idea you had. The opportunity is yours' to use or not to use. Usually people here just ignore stuff like the editorial cartoon thread or other sorts of spam. The reaction range you seek to exploit just is not here in 4UM. Also, don't let my tag line fool you. I took it and am posing the for Obama argument to promote more open and less emotionally charged dialog on the election in the style I usually do things. I find this election generally a farce of going through the motions because of political and social inertia that those who already have decided to merge our country with Mexico and Canada know they need it to continue to mask what is going on behind closed doors. I am much more interested in seeing this power elite dealt with then I am in any of the three choices our handlers have given us to Eenie, meenie, minie, mo. You are not going to understand this place unless you also read, lurk some and approach it without the preconceived notions you come here with. I like you Mud and actually think you could enjoy forum if you gave it a chance. But to do so you have to recognize you are in a sea of seasoned interlocutors who have been on many forums and don't look at many of the conventional way to do business as usual when they post here. They won't do more then let you know you are old hat at doing something out of courtesy and will move on to leave you twisting in the wind until you leave bored because nothing you usually do to tweak the nose of a venue you don't particularly like works. Nothing here is as you think you see it to be, and everyone recognizes that, so you are not going to get the reaction you seek. In any event, hope things are going good for you back in Virginia, and it's good to see you, whether I agree with your politics and belief systems or not. You should do a '4play' search and look at the big part music and music appreciation plays in the 4um and otherwise lower the guard you have up and you don't think people see there. ;-)

I am coming back East this late Spring or summer. I have family business to do back there still I can't put off forever. And when I move down the I-95 corridor I fully intend on letting you know when I'm passing through. I also plan on being in Washington for the inauguration this time. I always wanted to see one, and who knows how long we will still have such a fête in this country? If we become the NAU and the Constitution and Washington become a component of a larger country in a corporate merger way, I don't expect such changes of leaders on that level will mean much anymore.
Today's Ron Paul's big gig in DeeCee, I almost went. If I wouldda guessed, I almost wouldda thought you'd have embraced Dr. Paul's campaign. Perhaps you are more of a Big Guv'ment guy than I gave you credit for...MUD
I supported Ron Paul until the Repubs went insane and went for McInane. I do not agree with everything he proposes or believes, but unlike most candidates, he is honest, has good ethical beliefs, and could be one of the greatest presidents we have had. I would vote for Ron Paul for POTUS, and who knows, I might vote for him or Nader in the general election anyway. Allot of people here feel that with him not getting the nomination, we have lost the chance to save this country from eventual demise. And I can understand where they are coming from.
