I don't have you on bozo, but I put YT on bozo today. I posted an article from Spiegel asking why does America have a Holocaust Museum but no museum for slavery. YT came on immediately with a rude, racist and unnecessary remark that really had nothing to do with the discussion. And I decided I was fed up with this sort of attitude (or is that attytood). In fact, I put everyone on that thread on bozo. It was a very cleansing experience, I can tell you.

Bozoing does not work. It is self defeating, akin to book burning. No one gets rousted here any more than me but I refuse to BOZO.

I even read the vulgar mouthings of ghost, McIver and a couple of others.

The reflection is on them, not me. Most of the time, they and most others are adding something.

I take them to task for it. If you think Turtle crossed a line, tell him, but dont bozo.

We are ALL strident, ridged and inflexible about some issues, that is human nature, but no cause to turn a deaf ear. That solves nothing.

robin doesn't like me because I'm actually descended from freed slaves owned by the Cherokee and I was trying to get a point across to her but the guilt took over.

When I bring up American Indians, I get zero response. I have concluded as such, AI's have no tailcoats to ride to the halls of opressive power over others, therefore, ignorable and unimportant. American history books may one day never mention them.

For real and documented. Family members were putting together a family tree last year and unearthed this. It took them six months of "No way!" and researching back through the Dawes Rolls to confirm it.

Oddly enough, everyone in this generation looks pretty Irish.

So, its a bit of a surprise but does it matter? Only to a left-wing racist who would want to put me on a "program" to "make up" for "historical wrongs" - BAH!

First thanks for responding... What a great story to know. It's so interesting when a family member brings something to you that you would never imagine. Something similar happened to me, but in diverse ways on both sides of my own family. It was strange how I found my mind grabbing info, grasping for perspective that was very different than what I thought I 'knew'.

It matters *when* victimology decides who DESERVES priority. As if your blood is less important. As if, compensation comes in the form of oppressing others. As if, that's what we really need or want. As if, that would bring the peace and harmony they preach would be achieved through political means.

My father's hair and my grandfather's nose -- as well as why the family fortune was used to start up one of the HBCs (Historically Black Colleges).

It all falls into place now. It raised a lot of "WTF?" and other angst the first month or so after it had been verified, but after that, its just a lot of "Meh, ok, that's interesting." - it doesn't change anything as far as I'm concerned. Maybe that's for the best.

But...gheesh, the way to get over racial disharmony is to get over racial disharmony. Its sad people can't figure that one out.

It doesn't change a thing! But the perspective it gives, is that what happened CAN'T be changed.

That history is edited so that it is slanted this way and the next, is important as it is used to form young minds. Easier to manipulate that way, IMO.

I agree with you. The way to get over it, is to get over it and move forward. We can not have world leaders that can not. As long as we are stuck with having 'world' leaders.
