its probably unsafe to issue guns to cops. They should be for citizens only.

I remember seeing a video posted once of a federal police officer in front of some students at a classroom. I think it was a BATF guy. He was demonstrating proper safety of firearms and he accidentally shot himself right in the class. and then he tried to continue with the lecture after he did that.
