Well now, I just heard it went from too close to call to early to call, and so, then maybe it looks like Hillary big, but then (start tap dance music), maybe not so much.. So, I'm gonna wait till they wave off the backroom cigar smoke to waddle out and tell us who they decided to win and by how much. They're definitely going another thousand rounds......... tv news gotta suck cash from something ya know.

With 99% reporting, CLINTON leads OBAMA by 9.4% (54.7 - 45.3), picking up about 10 delegates so far over Obama.

COUNTIES STILL REPORTING:
Philadelphia 97% Obama leads 65-35 and ~130,000 votes
Delaware 97% Obama leads 55-45 and ~10,000 votes
Chester 91% Obama leads 55-45 and ~7,500 votes

If the trend in these counties continues, Obama should reduce the difference by about 4-5000 votes.

The margin of difference would close to ~ 9.2 or 9.3%

OVERALL:

Obama now leads in States 31-13.

Obama now leads the popular vote ~500K

DELEGATES:
CNN: 1694-1556
FOX: 1703-1573
MSNBC: 1720-1588

According to the official Pennsylvania election returns site, http://www.electionreturns.state.pa.us/, Clinton is now at 54.3%, and Obama at 45.8%, for a margin of 8.5%. The popular-vote margin is 193,411 votes. This is 8.499% of the reported totals.

So, if you have to round, this is closer to 8% than to 9% (although just barely). And, if you round the candidates' percentages to 54% and 46%, that leads more directly to a difference of 8%. Although it's probably more honest just to make it 8.5%. (Interestingly, with the older figures that were used to reach the 10% margin, the margin, unrounded, was 9.38%. The only way they could get to 10% was by first rounding off the candidates' percentages to 55% and 45%. Exactly the procedure that, with the new figures, would lead to 8%, after rounding to 54% and 46%.)

In any case, it's certainly a long way from 10%.

I take it you don't like rounding.

Shall we agree that it was an 8.5% margin?

I'm looking at MSNBC as I type - Clinton-55%, Obama 45%

Politics is perception and perception is reality, so your rounding effort is lost on all but the most Hopeful among us.

Obama can't close the deal in the primaries, and 52% of Hillary's voters won't vote for him if he does (as per MSNBC exit polls).

Somewhere in Queens, NY, Geraldine Ferraro is enjoying a cannoli and a hot cup of Joe.

Oh yeah....he's losing the Catholic vote 3 to 1.

Ouch.

I'm looking at MSNBC as I type - Clinton-55%, Obama 45%

The numbers yield a difference of 9.32%.

MSNBC is rounding Clinton UP .34% and rounding Obama DOWN .34%, injecting an error of .68%, and then calculating the difference.

The difference, using MSNBC numbers, is 9.32%. If rounded off, it properly goes to 9%, not 10%.

I think that the Hillary fix is in especially now that the GOP is openly trying to Swift Boat Obama in NC for Hillary. Leads me to believe that Hillary is a neocon mole. Nothing will change with another Bush/Clinton in the White House.
