Los Angeles is becoming a "Third World city" with immigrants making up half its workforce, says a new study. A third of immigrants have not graduated from high school and 60 per cent do not speak English fluently, the Migration Policy Institute found. It said this left immigrants ill-equipped to fill California's fastest-growing occupations, such as computer software engineering and nursing. The organisation added that as the so-called baby boomers reach retirement age, a similar pattern will spread across the US. Ernesto Cortes Jr, of the Industrial Areas Foundation, a think-tank that specialises on social change, claimed Los Angeles was at a crossroads. "The question is are we going to be a 21st century city with shared prosperity, or a Third World city with an elite group on top and most on near poverty wages?" he said. The US Census Bureau last year predicted that by 2050, minorities will account for half of all residents across America. It registered the largest numerical increases in minority residents in metropolitan Los Angeles, Riverside, in California, Dallas, Houston and New York. In 2000, according to the Census Bureau, whites were in a minority in 262 US counties, up from 183 in 1990. Nationally, the number of minorities topped 100 million for the first time in 2006, to make up about one third of the population.

Most of the illegals are from Mexico, the rest are from Latin America. Some are running around shooting Black American citizens, who lived and worked in these neighborhoods since WWII. Now inner-city American citizens cannot get a job at their own local McD's because to work there you must speak Spanish; same for most low-level jobs once held by Black American citizens. Californians have been complaining about illegals for decades. Only in the last 10 years did the rest of the US care, b/c the illegals started migrating to the rest of the US. The problem is that the borders belong to the federal govt not the states. But the problems brought by the failure of the federal govt are born by the states. About 3 years ago the Border Patrol rounded up hundreds of illegals in San Bernardino and Riverside counties. Asa Hutchison said "Stop!" "We didn't mean it!". And all those illegals were let go. During the weeks of roundups, entire classrooms were empty and the traffic was lighter. In fact, it was the teachers complaining that made the news.
So what you're saying is that the browning of America (the Agenda) is happening despite citizen awareness and angst?
I'm only referring to the deliberate evasion by the federal govt to illegals entering, living and working in this country, and the fact that Americans who live where this is happening are painfully aware. The only reason more Americans are aware is b/c the problem finally reached their town.
I think America is aware of the agenda, but feels helpless to alter it's course. My point to you is regardless of the awareness, American politicians refuse to address the issue. This obviously includes black pols (Obama/Jackson/Sharpton) who are mum on the injustice you mention. The reason for their silence is obvious to me. They want it to happen, or are helpless to alter its course.
No minority group is hurt more by illegals than inner-city Black American citizens. Their leaders should be saying something. If you combine them with poor White American citizens, the impact is huge on our own citizenry. The corporate types must have their unlimited free labor pool and few will say anything to the contrary. Obama actually has spoken out against some of the trade policies (but not about illegals that I know of, remember they vote illegally too). Paul Craig Roberts pointed that out here: Obama and Global Trade: Can He Deliver? (PAUL CRAIG ROBERTS) Unique among the contenders for the presidential nominations, Barack Obama has raised the issue of US job loss from US corporations moving operations abroad in order to lower their labor costs and, thereby, boost profits. As reported by the Financial Times, Obama proposed a lower tax rate for US companies that maintain or increase their US workforce relative to their overseas workforce. Economists, who have crawled out on a limb in defense of jobs offshoring, quickly denounced Obama's plan.
Jobs are part of the problem, but who are the racial mix masters and why are they changing the demographic (racial and economic) of America? Are we to ignore a full frontal invasion of America like the feckless Enablers do?
America has had mixtures of races for centuries. That it has continued is not really all that surprising. Would you really want to go back to the Jim Crow Laws and the Segregated South?

Personally, as a damn Yankee, I'd rather have nothing to do with homey. Like Birdman says, I'd be DELIGHTED if I could take a stroll to the village center and not see a single do-rag. Segregation worked, and I'm not so arrogant as to second-guess the South and impose MY solution on it. The South has a lot more experience living cheek-by-jowl with large populations of blacks. The South doesn't have to have the same solution, and heck, if it wants to be an independent nation that'd be fine with me too. I'm not sure segregation needs to be enforced even at the state level though. Perhaps at the village or township, maybe at just the homeowner association level -- de facto many homeowner associations already do this, but the nature of the natal formula, working around the federal prohibition on de jure racial exclusion, imposes a non-trivial "white tax." No problem if you're a rich honkey...
