Do you watch the news on TV?

I don't. In fact, there are times when I will not turn on the TV for a week. My wife will, but only, of course, to Spanish stations, and that is a real chore to listen to (for me), so I don't pay attention anyway. I read.

But Sunday morning, just for a change, I decided to do something different. With all of the news shows and Meet the Press B.S. on, OK, I will 'check it out' and see if anything has changed. After all, the reason I do not watch is the lying, so maybe....

Not!

I did not have the TV on for more than 5 minutes before I was shaking my head, dumbfounded at the stupidity. Not of the actors cum news reporters on the screen; the stupidity of the people who listen to such without throwing something through the TV!

First off, I caught a 'debate' between a rep for Hillary and another for Obama, with an actor cum newsreporter (Blitzer) mediating. All about what they 'believe' and what the future holds and who lies and who tells the truth and how good the future would be with 'their' candidate in office and and and and and...

I am sure you get the picture.

One of the 'points' they made (and agreed on) and which stuck with me was how dangerous it is now that North Korea and Syria are cooperating on Nuclear research. And, how correct Israel was to bomb 'that nuclear reactor that Syria was building' in the desert (some months ago).

As I and others have posted in 4um, that is a complete fabrication, and these people (the talking heads on the TV Sunday morning AND THESE TWO SO-CALLED CANDIDATES) know it! And if they do not, then they have no business being where they are. Another thing both candidates agreed about is the OBLIGATION of the United States to be the first line of defense for Israel. Some squabbels about details, but both agree on the main points.

What did I learn? Only a fool thinks either of these people is honest or, deserving of donations or support. And hey, if you are a supporter of Obama, or Hillary (or McCain), that means YOU ARE A FOOL!!

Naturally enough, I had trouble listening to all of the show, so I was changing the channels a lot. Found some interesting tidbits, like, now is a GOOD time to think about buying a house.

NOT!!

And how important it is for Americans to get back into the swing of things, now that most of the credit woes are behind us....

NOT!!

And not to forget the Home and Garden Show now going on... inside of an air conditioned building, and how many good buys there are on lawn furniture and other needful B.S. Got to motivate those consumers!!

And of course, a full dose of advertising went along with my news over-load, esp. about cars and NEW LOW INTEREST bait. Amazing. Not the low interest bait, that is to be expected, it is all of the advertising which someone obviously is paying for. Why? Cause it works, and just like Pavlov's dogs, people dutifully note it and react. Silly sheeple.

So what did I learn? That the more things change, the more they stay the same. In short, it will be a LONG time before I waste another beautiful morning watching the B.S. on the TV! What garbage! Subscribe to *Agriculture-Environment*

Television news is only good for keeping a pulse on the sheeple, and getting a scent of any potential wolf attacks.

“President Bush has talked about our staying in Iraq for 50 years,” “Maybe a hundred ... ... that’d be fine with me,” McCain responds
Hillary: "I want the Iranians to know that if I'm the president, we will attack Iran in the next 10 years, during which they might foolishly consider launching an attack on Israel, we would be able to totally obliterate them."

I've been watching the coverage of rev. Wright on MSNBC and CNN this morning, and not once have they mentioned Wright's claim to the NAACP last night that black children and white children have different brains and learn differently and need to be taught differently.

I saw a bit of that and hope to see the rest of it; it looked interesting.

Not since the first year of the Reagan administration. I never watch presidential addresses either (at least 25 years).

That's explosive stuff to claim a racial difference between the brains of white and black children.

It's the most outrageous thing Wright has said, and yet MSNBC and CNN don't even mention it despite all their coverage of Wright this morning.

I've already said too much.

I'm curious to know if he meant racial or cultural. Either way it's not that outrageous, for example, Asians are known to score very low in certain test areas. This info was circulating in some circles because of all the traffic accidents in Asian neighborhoods here and in Australia.

I couldn't find a transcript on google, but there are a lot of videos of the speech out there.

Can you imagine the firestorm if a white had said that black children and white children had different brains and needed to be taught differently?

There has been. Although men and women have different brains and no one seems too excited about it.

What's so explosive about that. Remember, Blacks, Whites... they are RACES. They are different in many ways. For example, Blacks do not have the necessities to become good swimmers while White men can't jump. There's nothing wrong with being different. What is wrong is to keep pretending that we are all the same, regardless or race or gender.

To say that there has not been a peep on Wright from MSM is hardly accurate. On this subject perhaps, but that's the only one.

They cycled through his soundbites, taken out of context, day after day.

Boys and girls learn differently, it would not be surprising that there are cultural learning differences or even racial learning differences.

Perhaps it is in the way he discussed it. I did not hear him being negative or derogatory to anyone.

Yes, on this subject. That was precisely my point. Of course there's been a lot of coverage of Wright. I was pointing out that despite all the coverage, this comment on different brains was not mentioned.

And this is not some minor subject.

A perfectly controlled demolition of WTC1 and 2, like WTC7 was, would've looked too obvious. I would say WTC 1 and 2 were semi-controlled demolitions, with some mis-timing in the controlled sequence part of it.

I haven't bothered with that because I don't have to.

I already have plenty of evidence that 911 was allowed to happen and it's success was facilitated by the Goverment.

They're already complicit in allowing it to happen then using it to re-write the liberties they recognize, dumping us into perpetual Global Governace - "Free Trade" Wars.

There's just something ... I don't know .... conceivably non-authentic about all this.

Let me see.... cause and effect.... basic kindergarden stuff........ What part is non-authentic? Perhaps you are referring to all of the laws limiting freedom that have been passed since 9/11. Or, perhaps you are referring to the wars that have been started and the hundreds of thousands of people who have been killed in those wars since 9/11...

But, more probably, you are referring to the billions and tens of billions and hundreds of billions of dollars of EXTRA profit raked in by the multinational corporations (AND THE BUSH FAMILY) from the extreme raise in the price of oil and the demand for moremoremoremoremore war material since 9/11...

Or perhaps you are referring to the estimated 3 -- 5 TRILLION dollars that eminent economists have estimated that JUST THE IRAQ WAR WILL COST. Is that it?

Please fill me in if I am anywhere near to what is non-authentic about what is going on here, cause I really want to know.

Or, of course, you could just be like ol Mud Boy and live in LaLa TV land, where the politicians never lie, and the bankers are your friend. Perhaps that is it.... the non-authentic part.... And by golly, I think I got it!!!
