Do you watch the news on TV?

I don't. In fact, there are times when I will not turn on the TV for a week. My wife will, but only, of course, to Spanish stations, and that is a real chore to listen to (for me), so I don't pay attention anyway. I read.

But Sunday morning, just for a change, I decided to do something different. With all of the news shows and Meet the Press B.S. on, OK, I will 'check it out' and see if anything has changed. After all, the reason I do not watch is the lying, so maybe....

Not!

I did not have the TV on for more than 5 minutes before I was shaking my head, dumbfounded at the stupidity. Not of the actors cum news reporters on the screen; the stupidity of the people who listen to such without throwing something through the TV!

First off, I caught a 'debate' between a rep for Hillary and another for Obama, with an actor cum newsreporter (Blitzer) mediating. All about what they 'believe' and what the future holds and who lies and who tells the truth and how good the future would be with 'their' candidate in office and and and and and...

I am sure you get the picture.

One of the 'points' they made (and agreed on) and which stuck with me was how dangerous it is now that North Korea and Syria are cooperating on Nuclear research. And, how correct Israel was to bomb 'that nuclear reactor that Syria was building' in the desert (some months ago).

As I and others have posted in 4um, that is a complete fabrication, and these people (the talking heads on the TV Sunday morning AND THESE TWO SO-CALLED CANDIDATES) know it! And if they do not, then they have no business being where they are. Another thing both candidates agreed about is the OBLIGATION of the United States to be the first line of defense for Israel. Some squabbels about details, but both agree on the main points.

What did I learn? Only a fool thinks either of these people is honest or, deserving of donations or support. And hey, if you are a supporter of Obama, or Hillary (or McCain), that means YOU ARE A FOOL!!

Naturally enough, I had trouble listening to all of the show, so I was changing the channels a lot. Found some interesting tidbits, like, now is a GOOD time to think about buying a house.

NOT!!

And how important it is for Americans to get back into the swing of things, now that most of the credit woes are behind us....

NOT!!

And not to forget the Home and Garden Show now going on... inside of an air conditioned building, and how many good buys there are on lawn furniture and other needful B.S. Got to motivate those consumers!!

And of course, a full dose of advertising went along with my news over-load, esp. about cars and NEW LOW INTEREST bait. Amazing. Not the low interest bait, that is to be expected, it is all of the advertising which someone obviously is paying for. Why? Cause it works, and just like Pavlov's dogs, people dutifully note it and react. Silly sheeple.

So what did I learn? That the more things change, the more they stay the same. In short, it will be a LONG time before I waste another beautiful morning watching the B.S. on the TV! What garbage! Subscribe to *Agriculture-Environment*

Television news is only good for keeping a pulse on the sheeple, and getting a scent of any potential wolf attacks.

I've been watching the coverage of rev. Wright on MSNBC and CNN this morning, and not once have they mentioned Wright's claim to the NAACP last night that black children and white children have different brains and learn differently and need to be taught differently.

I saw a bit of that and hope to see the rest of it; it looked interesting.

That's explosive stuff to claim a racial difference between the brains of white and black children.

It's the most outrageous thing Wright has said, and yet MSNBC and CNN don't even mention it despite all their coverage of Wright this morning.

So, you believe Bush knew about the Al Queda attacks on 9/11/01 and did nothing to stop it?

We'll haveta agree to disagree on that...I've read boucoups evidence and it's all either disprovable and/or circumstantial, imho...MUD

I figured you subscribe to The Official Story® in spite of the vast amount of evidence proving otherwise.

I'll give it to Magician...he's an Israel First NeoCon but he knows The Official Story® wreaks and he allows himself to acknowledge some ugly truths.

You, you're just a lousy shill...

BTW...do you believe the Twin Towers were taken down by a controlled demolition after the planes didn't do enough damage?

A perfectly controlled demolition of WTC1 and 2, like WTC7 was, would've looked too obvious. I would say WTC 1 and 2 were semi-controlled demolitions, with some mis-timing in the controlled sequence part of it.

WTC-1 and WTC-2 could not fall with a typical controlled demolition. Their construction was like a stack of three buildings with a reinforced floor between the stacks. The top stack could not be collapsed into the basement by blowing out the bottom.

Assuming a controlled demolition, a different methodology was necessary. The destruction needed to be atypically from the top down.

Sheeesh, n_c, I didn't know you had bought into this theory, too!! I'm an architect and I've spoken with quite a few structural engineers regarding 9/11/01 and I am convinced the pancaking of the Twin Towers makes complete sense while this idea that "SOMEONE" planted explosives in the WTC is ludicrous!!

Regards...MUD

Sheeesh, MUD.

The "pancake theory" may be seen to be slightly in conflict with the National Institute of Standards and Technology findings which constitute the last word on official findings. The "pancake theory" was dismissed as impossible.

NIST Fact Sheet, FAQ-2, page 2

wtc.nist.gov/pubs/factsheets/faqs_8_2006.htm

NIST’s findings do not support the “pancake theory” of collapse, which is premised on a progressive failure of the floor systems in the WTC towers (the composite floor system -- that connected the core columns and the perimeter columns -- consisted of a grid of steel “trusses” integrated with a concrete slab; see diagram below). ... the floors did not fail progressively to cause a pancaking phenomenon.
