First, he told Blitz that he can't endorse McCain.
Then, Blitz asked him which one he prefers, of the 2 Demos. RP said that he picks Obama because he's slightly better which is EXACTLY what I've been saying for quite a while.

My friend, when asked, Ron Paul named Obama as his choice. He didn't call him 'evil'. He stated that he rejects McCain and, between Hill and Obama he prefers Obama. I agree with RP.

10 minutes ago, on CNN. Wolfie interviewed him. He was careful to say that it's not 'an endorsement' (because he's still in the running) so he called it a 'preference'.

It's strange that he didn't mention Barr. He noted that both Hillary and Obama voted to fund the troops in Iraq but, on balance, he found Obama 'better'.

I will have to hear it myself, and even then won't say oh, becasue Ron Paul said this I am now going to throw out everything I know about the racist Obama and vote for him. Nope, not going to happen. Just like Ron Paul thinks the towers were brought down by planes doesn't in any way make me think that is true. Ron Paul is a good guy I think, but sometimes he is just plain wrong. If he said this then this is one of those times.

Nothing prevented him from stating that both Hillary and Obama were bad and that he was planning to vote for Barr in November. But: - he did not refuse to answer the question, because he was still running for prez. - he expressed a preference for Obama. Period. This is as good as an endorsement from someone still running for the same job.

I would like to see the transcript myself. Of course, you should not change your views just because Ron Paul's are different from yours now but it's interesting that someone both of us respect seems to be in total agreement with me. Even to the 'nuances' level.

Thanks for posting the videos. In Ron Paul's words, Obama would be 'slightly better' in foreign policy. His main concern: where would Obama spend the money he would save from stopping the wars. I have the same concern myself but... let's get the wars stopped first.

I didn't say that Obama is better than Barr or Baldwin. In fact, I didn't even promise to vote for Obama in November. I definitely support Obama in the Obama vs. Hillary race. Ron Paul is to Obama as Iraq is to 9/11. If you repeat it enough times, no matter how unrelated they are, in the same sentence then soon people will draw a connection between the two.

No, it wasn't an endorsement; Paul adds he's shaky about Obama's voting record and where Obama might spend the money instead. And when asked why he hasn't dropped out of the race, Paul responds, "The race is still on."
For the third day in a row, The Revolution: A Manifesto is currently number one on Amazon.com's Top 100.
So it boils down to: how did the mainstream media get away with Paul's shortened speaking times at the debates and lack of coverage in the press?? Maybe it's in the book...we're still eagerly awaiting the arrival of ours!
