First, he told Blitz that he can't endorse McCain.
Then, Blitz asked him which one he prefers, of the 2 Demos. RP said that he picks Obama because he's slightly better which is EXACTLY what I've been saying for quite a while.

I don't find enough difference in Obama, Clinton or McCain to bother going to the polls assuming they were the only alleged "choice" I had. But you are correct, Ron most certainly did NOT endorse Obama and I thought that should be clear enough to anyone whose first language was English.

Look at the post again. I was replying to ANGLE and he quoted you in a reply to me. I was just agreeing with him that Ron didn't endorse Obama. And if I were a gambler I would bet that Ron would never endorse him since Obama thinks there is nothing wrong with killing babies even after they are born and since Ron has delivered something like 4,000 babies and is a pro-life libertarian.

He only finds him the least likely to expand the wars and therefore he supports him - because it's 'wars' and 'foreign policy' that made RP join the race in the first place.

That's still a leap. He said he does not endorse Obama, which to me means he does not support Obama. He simply said of the three, Obama is "slightly better" and explained why - foreign policy.

So he expressed a preference for one of the 2 demos, after he explicitly repudiated the GOP candidate. By his expressing a preference for one specific candidate, it is likely that some of his supporters are more likely to vote for Obama in November. I am calling that support. Please pay attention to Ron Paul's main concern: the war and note that 'the war' is why he named Obama as his darling.

Well... this was a VERY unusual event. I am not aware of ANY other U.S. presidential contender expressing support (okay, a preference) for one of his theoretical rivals. Obama should do the smart thing and get in touch with Mr. RP.

I hear you, Jeth. That may very well be true in Bed Sty. I feel fortunate that I have grown up in community with a history of good race relations. The rioters in Detroit came down here in '68 and tried to spread their poison to no avail. In the neighborhood (THE worst in Toledo) where I run that once a week magazine route , which I have previously mentioned, I enjoy a pleasant and humor filled give and take day once a week. I enjoy the company of the people I come in contact with and respect them and so far it's mutual. Maybe the difference is that I have interacted with blacks all the way back to my grade school days and do not fear every Negro I come in contact with, despite a scuffle or two along the way. In that same neighborhood a couple of years ago we had a dust-up that made the national news when a Nazi organization came to town. I certainly didn't and don't carry any water for those idiots, but my opinion was that they had a right to march around in their Nazi uniforms and make jackasses of themselves if they wanted to. Best to ignore them. Someone had encouraged them to come and make a march through this neighborhood. Unfortunately it brought out the night stalkers, the ones I don't have to rub shoulders with in my daylight run ... the ones that hold the the neighborhood captive in their homes after the sun goes down. It's a sad and challenging situation, but I do see progress. In summary, I think we need to take each and every fellow American as we find them, the good and the bad ... without predisposition to judgment.

True story. When I was tooling about Bed Sty in the late 60s, doing my Toody & Muldoon, nearly every corner in the summer had a group of locals singing Doo Wop.
