First, he told Blitz that he can't endorse McCain.
Then, Blitz asked him which one he prefers, of the 2 Demos. RP said that he picks Obama because he's slightly better which is EXACTLY what I've been saying for quite a while.
Nit? Ninny? Don't even remember 'em. You're not really tryin'. I've never even considered you in the nasty class.
And I'm the big bad wolf here ... sheesh.
I'll admit, Veruca Salt was a major influence on me. What's a poor prole to do?

Honestly, the stuff I hear from some Baptist preachers these days has me downright ashamed.
I never bothered with them, unless they could pick a stringed instrument in 8:4 time.
Excuse me, my pizza is buzzing.

So he expressed a preference for one of the 2 demos, after he explicitly repudiated the GOP candidate. By his expressing a preference for one specific candidate, it is likely that some of his supporters are more likely to vote for Obama in November. I am calling that support.
Please pay attention to Ron Paul's main concern: the war and note that 'the war' is why he named Obama as his darling.
Well... this was a VERY unusual event. I am not aware of ANY other U.S. presidential contender expressing support (okay, a preference) for one of his theoretical rivals. Obama should do the smart thing and get in touch with Mr. RP.
Premise1 - RP named ending the war as the one issue that's dear to him. Premise2 - RP stated that Obama is the one most likely to address that issue. Ergo - Obama is RP's darling. Q.E.D.

That sounds way gay. I seriously doubt Ron Paul would ever use that term in reference to any man.

Vast...
Odd I do not recall posting anything to you. Why on earth would you feel it was directed towards you???
" I WOULD like to note that many people passionately contributed to this thread and you seem to dismiss them all"
Passion???? Good heavens vast, there are two segments of our political culture at work here. Americans, those that believe in America, and others that are part and parcel of the "system".

I would like to note that we are all contributing to a public thread on a public board. I believe that everyone is entitled to express views by replying to any of the posts already on the thread.
As for... 'us being the true patriots' and 'youse being anti-American scum'... I would BET that you can do much better.

Long ago you painted a portrait of yourself here on 4um. It has not changed. Everyone saw it. It is still there. When you decide to add something of substance and interest to the 4um, I am sure more people would be glad to indulge in a civil exchange.
Otherwise your false labeling, is just that, false and without merit.
True story. When I was tooling about Bed Sty in the late 60s, doing my Toody & Muldoon, nearly every corner in the summer had a group of locals singing Doo Wop. We'd find the best group, call the other guys on the radio, park the radio cars, and for those brief periods of time, all was well in the world. I can't imagine that happening today.
I hear you, Jeth. That may very well be true in Bed Sty. I feel fortunate that I have grown up in community with a history of good race relations. The rioters in Detroit came down here in '68 and tried to spread their poison to no avail.
In the neighborhood (THE worst in Toledo) where I run that once a week magazine route , which I have previously mentioned, I enjoy a pleasant and humor filled give and take day once a week. I enjoy the company of the people I come in contact with and respect them and so far it's mutual. Maybe the difference is that I have interacted with blacks all the way back to my grade school days and do not fear every Negro I come in contact with, despite a scuffle or two along the way.
In that same neighborhood a couple of years ago we had a dust-up that made the national news when a Nazi organization came to town. I certainly didn't and don't carry any water for those idiots, but my opinion was that they had a right to march around in their Nazi uniforms and make jackasses of themselves if they wanted to. Best to ignore them. Someone had encouraged them to come and make a march through this neighborhood. Unfortunately it brought out the night stalkers, the ones I don't have to rub shoulders with in my daylight run ... the ones that hold the the neighborhood captive in their homes after the sun goes down.
It's a sad and challenging situation, but I do see progress.
In summary, I think we need to take each and every fellow American as we find them, the good and the bad ... without predisposition to judgment.

ProAmerica policy never happens, but it sure is talked about by the status quo protectors at election time.
I can't imagine clean-cut, suit and tie artists today...
Pitiful commentary on us.
I hear you too, lodwick, and it seems to be cross racial.
Come see me and and bring your wife and we'll go to a local black and tan pub or two (with a somewhat more "mature" clientèle") and you'll find performers you can relate to.

Liberal craziness. They've never wanted to accept blacks, just "help" them from a damned good arms-length away

No, but you damn well don't need to support it, Hon.
Let's kill him then, you and me. We'll need to keep it a secret, ok? Shhh! Think he has life insurance?

I keep remembering that kitten I had when I was six that got run over by a Buick. I guess I'm still bitter about that, they didn't stop to ask why I suddenly burst into tears.

The same exact thing happened to me, but it was different.
I was driving home and dog jammed out across the road, and into my tire. I saw it, and slammed on the brakes. I put the handle in the P position and got out to see what happened. The poor little dog just layed there. I reached down to it, and it suddenly jumped up, a turd flew out and it jammed for the canal bank.
You're mean, you prolly colluded with those fat Buick fuckers against me and my kitten.

Well, I have a memory of a local sportscaster that knocked on our door with my kids' dog collar in his hand, wanting to replace the pup he had run over.
See, life experiences do have a bearing on our view of the world.
Too sad for yours, and you.

I don't care to read all the posts about RP endorsing Obama, since there's 400- plus of 'em, and I don't necessarily believe any of this shit. Dr. Paul's campaign is NOT DEAD. The delegate system is not mobocracy, unlike what MSM informs us it is. This whole thread is a total waste of time, IMHO.

Nope, wasn't me. I like cats too. Never drove a Buick. I did have to drive a Delta88 for drivers school. I think that's a flatlanders version of a tank. They made us make 3 point turns in the parking lot at the doctors office. Offices... we had two of them.

Not trying to be contrary, but I've almost been arrested several times for disagreeing with that premise. Police around here don't seem partial to Motorhead, especially telling them to shove it, you know they might as well love it.

Then you'll help me find the true culprits?
