BARACK'S REV. 'STOLE A WIFE' EX-HUBBY: HE COUNSELED US, THEN WED HER

By SUSANNAH CAHALAN and VERONICA HINKE

32; FUROR: Fire-breathing Chicago pastor Jeremiah Wright (left) reportedly met his wife Ramah (right) after he counseled her and then-husband Delmer Reed in 1983. The Reeds divorced soon after the sessions. 32;32;32; 32;32;32;32;32;32; 32; May 4, 2008 -- The Rev. Jeremiah Wright, Barack Obama's loose cannon of a spiritual adviser, stole the wife of a parishioner - after the man sought Wright's help in saving his troubled marriage, the former husband told friends.

Delmer Reed, 59, confided to pals that he believed the minister moved in on his wife while Wright was counseling the couple at his Chicago church in the early 1980s, The Post has learned.

"That's exactly how he said it," Reed's divorce lawyer, Roosevelt Thomas, told The Post. "It looks like Delmer might have been right," he said, because after Delmer and Ramah Reed were divorced, she got remarried - to Wright. "Either that or this was the biggest coincidence in the world."

Asked about the relationship between Wright and his ex-wife, Reed told The Post, "Oh, the things I could tell you."

Initially, he didn't believe the rumors.

"People were telling me that my extremely attractive wife was seen with the pastor," Reed said. "But I didn't believe it. I thought, 'So what?' "

Was he wrong in the end?

"Well, yeah," he said.

Asked if Wright broke up his marriage, Reed laughed, then said, "I told my kids I wouldn't say anything to hurt their stepfather, so I'm not saying anything."

But he said he's been hounded by the press and "offered money" to tell his story. A spokesman for the Wright family flatly denied the allegation yesterday.

"This story has no merit whatsoever and is not based on facts," said George Lofton. "They had problems throughout the course of their turbulent marriage, and the couple never received marriage counseling from Rev. Wright or anyone else."

But Reed, a former investigator for the Illinois secretary of state, told The Post he and his ex-wife went to Wright's Trinity United Church of Christ for counseling when their marriage hit the skids over his demanding work schedule.

"I spoke with [Wright] four times over a few months," Reed said in an interview at his upscale home in Lemont, Ill.

"Her father asked me to go to counseling. We thought we'd be together forever. I decided to try to work this out." Asked if he's forgiven the pastor, Reed nodded. "I let it go," he said. "I don't want my kids to hear anything negative about their stepfather."

I want to know more about Obama's phone company - I bet they were hand-in-hand with the Bushies on spying on innocent Americans. We should also inquire on Obama's diet and try to find out WHO profits from his gas purchases - I bet that he is financing terrorism by buying gas that came from terroristic oil fields.

I see that Reverend Wright has his past snooped into & gossiped about in this manner. But he's not even a candidate. mcCain & Clinton are both candidates. Here's some stories that the press could popularize about those 2 if they were of a mind to rather than to slam Obama.

Mccain was known as a womanizer early in his life, he cheated tremendously on his wife. then he went to vietnam. When he came back from vietnam the story I heard from friends here in Phoenix, some of whom were personally acquainted with Cindy who married Mccain, was that cindy was at the hotel bar where Mccain spent his first night of freedom in Hawaii back from Vietnam. Mccain went to the hotel bar and immediately walked up to her. He had a one-night stand with her and it turned into a marriage. he never even went back to see his wife. He divorced his wife without even ever going back to her after his vietnam trip. The press could really hammer him, his 1'st wife has told people that Mccain never even came to see her before taking up with cindy. but the game- plan is to slam Obama currently.

I'm sure a lot of us remember stories about Hilary clinton. She attended swinger clubs with her husband. She was seen snorting cocaine. She had an affair with Vince Foster. there are stories about her going into lesbian mode sometimes. there are actually people who will say this is true. does the press pay them money to speak on national tv? No, it is the game plan currently to slam Obama.

and pursuant to this game-plan of slamming Obama it is fun to slam Wright if that is all that can be done.

the mainstream media spent a lot of time talking about the Monica scandal. They did not make clear that Clinton & his wife have a track record of swinging and snorting cocaine. the stories about Clinton's sex scandals have always been taboo other than the one Monica story.

and I don't remember ever reading in the national media about McCain not seeing his first wife even once after he got back from Vietnam.

Reverend Wright isn't even a candidate and look at this gossip on him.

We've read these stories on McCain & Hilary clinton that I mentioned, but I don't think the mainstream media spread them. This story above is from New York Post.

I've already pointed out that 2 prominent preachers who endorse McCain preach some whacky stuff about how we need to kill muslims.

I think the story about how McCain never even went back to his wife after coming back from Vietnam and instead picked up young Cindy at the bar his very first night of freedom is a significant story. and I heard that story here in Phoenix from a woman who was a close friend of Cindy's.

its just like I said, Obama is the target, the other 2 are protected currently.

the media could drag any of these 3 through the mud and destroy them.

Billy Paul- Me and Mrs Jones

Me and Mrs. Jones -
we've got a thing going on.
We both know that it's wrong,
to let it go now.

We meet every day
at the same café
6:30 I know - I know she'll be there.
Holding hands - making all kinds of plans
while the jukebox play our favourite song.

Me and Mrs. Mrs. Jones –
Mrs. Jones – Mrs. Jones –
Mrs. Jones
we've got a thing going on.
We both know that it's wrong,
but it's much too strong
to let it go now.

We've gotta be extra careful
That we don't build our hopes up too high.
'Cause she's got her own obligations
and so – and so do I...

Me and Mrs. Mrs. Jones –
Mrs. Jones – Mrs. Jones – Mrs. Jones
we've got a thing going on.
We both know that it's wrong,
but it's much too strong
to let it go now.

Well it's time for us to be leaving
It hurts so much - it hurts so much inside
Now she'll go her way
And I'll go mine.
Tomorrow we'll meet the same
place – the same time.

Me and Mrs. Mrs. Jones –
Mrs. Jones – Mrs. Jones –
Mrs. Jones
we've got a thing going on.
We've gotta be extra careful.
We can't afford to build our
hopes up too high.

I wanna meet,
and talk with you,
at the same place,
the same café,
the same time
And we're gonna hold hands like we used to
We're gonna talk it over, talk it over
We know, they know, and you
know and I know that it was
wrong
But I'll make it strong...
We've gotta let 'em know now
We've got a thing going on...
...thing going on

those stories were never told in the mainstream mass media. they told the Monica stories ad nauseum, but ignored all the others. Now that hilary is a presidential candidate it is appropriate to let people speak nationally in the mass media who saw her snorting cocaine & swinging & such. that is a lot more significant than Wright going to a church.

I'm not a fan of Obama, although I agree with paul that he's slightly better. I'm only pointing out what is being done. any of the 3 candidates could be destroyed by the media.

Obama/Wright Mentality Catching on in Elementary School

The political mentality of Barack Obama and his temporarily sidelined mentor Jeremiah Wright has found fertile soil at a Brooklyn elementary school:

Disturbing, gang-like graffiti is cropping up all over a Brooklyn elementary school, marring a playground, classrooms and two teachers' cars, authorities said. The troubling words "Jump White People" and abbreviation "JWP" have appeared at Public School 224 in East New York about a dozen times in the past three weeks, and some teachers are concerned that it's not being taken seriously. One day this may be the national motto, like it probably is in Zimbabwe.

Regarding those specific stories I recounted in #6 - those are things that myself and others who have a long history of reading on FR, LP, here & elsewhere are aware of. The story about cindy being picked up by John at the hotel bar I heard that story from cindy's closest friend and I didn't read it. But those stories I mentioned in #6 I don't think ever got published in the national media.

so there's one standard for Obama clearly and another for the other 2. Obama is their target.

Regarding whether Obama & wright are a bit racist - I think obama's written statements indicate a little racism. but that doesn't bother me at all compared to the fact that Obama supports the Federal Reserve, obama supports the war on terror, Obama doesn't care to roll back patriot act.

I'm not really pro-Obama, but I might vote for him on election day. Do you think there's a better choice to vote for on election day? I've written in people's names before, they didn't win. The only benefit I can see in voting for Obama is to send a message to the rest of the world that at least we Americans tried to put in a candidate who pretended to be not-so-pro-war as the others. thats a very small benefit I admit, but do you have a better way to go?

Well, the reason is not stupidity, ignorance nor lack of programmed education.

That being said, one has to look elsewhere for logical explanations.

Notice I made that plural???

Most are race conscious in that OTHERS are racists and bigots, but not them. They are the first to spout the terms, anti semetic, racist, bigot and whatever. Casting the first stone gives them the advantage of putting others on the defensive. Old trick.

I don't normally vote for either of the 2 parties. I normally write in a name, at least the last 6 years that's how I've done it. but regarding Obama, I may make an exception. for the reasons I said - he has said he wants to bring the troops home from Iraq and the world should know we're not war-crazy. In my state we usually don't even have 3'rd party candidates, they find it difficult to get on the ballot. I sure wouldn't vote for alan Keyes.

all I've done is point out that the media is going out of its way to take Obama down.

I believe that such remarks can hurt other people's feelings. If you tell someone 'you are a supporter of the two-party fraud (ron paul's scam too)' then it's not very likely that he would follow your advice to vote 'third party'.

By the way, why isn't 'third party' a fraud as well? It's my impression that 'third parties' are largely fictional entities whose main reason for manifesting themselves in our perceived reality is that of legitimizing the two-party system. When you vote 'third party' you are still supporting 'a party' and 'parties' are always mafia-like organizations whose purpose is not to represent the people but to advance some agenda and ideology and, more importantly, to acquire, hold and exercise power.

That being said, one has to look elsewhere for logical explanations.

Most are race conscious in that OTHERS are racists and bigots, but not them. They are the first to spout the terms, anti semetic, racist, bigot and whatever. Casting the first stone gives them the advantage of putting others on the defensive. Old trick.

And this has ZERO to do with Obama.

John McCain OTOH, dumped his faithful ex-wife for the very wealthy Cindy. Not John McCain's ex-pastor, John McCain himself.

Talk about whipping a dead horse. It's Wright who is that horse, not Obama.

These endless "guilt by association" spins grow more tiresome by the day.

And it sounds like it could well be false too.

Barack Obama and the issue of excessive CEO compensation.

Description: Compensation. Published: April 14, 2008

This past Saturday, the Associated Press reported that "Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama is demanding that company shareholders have a say in how much executives get paid as he pushes his populist message. "Obama said Friday he wants Congress to pass legislation he has sponsored that would require corporations to have a nonbinding vote by shareholders on executive compensation packages.

"Under Obama's Senate legislation, shareholders could not veto a compensation package offered to an executive and would not place limits on pay. Rather, they would have a means to publicly express their position."

Interesting.

In 2005, in addition to her job as a Vice-President of the very profitable not- for-profit University of Chicago Hospitals, his wife Michelle was put on the Board of TreeHouse Foods.

There she earned $45,000 for attending 10 board meetings, and she received stock options that showed a paper profit that year of $60,000.

One of the things she did for the company was to defend the executive compensation of Sam Reed, the President and CEO of TreeHouse, and the man who put her on the Board.

That year he received $26,159,000 in total compensation.

To put that into perspective, that year Wal-Mart had 400 times the amount of revenue that TreeHouse Foods did, while their CEO received less than a third of the total compensation, that Sam Reed did.

Also in 2005, the President and CEO of not-for-profit The University of Chicago Hospitals received $1,873,795 in total compensation, which was up by more than $600,000 from two years earlier.

That same year, Michelle Obama's income as an administrator at the not-for- profit University of Chicago Hospitals nearly tripled to $316,962, from $121,910.

Nice find Jethro.

The answer of course is, of course not.

Sin knows no color lines. Many years ago, before I converted, my pastor (perhaps my all-time favorite one) divorced his wife and married the church secretary. He was/is a fine person but this marked the end of time at that church, and I suppose rightly so.

He was an older, easy going, fisherman type fella with a grand sense of humor. A couple of of us guys kiddingly asked him if he had strolled down to an X-rated movie house that had opened in the neighborhood, to which he replied "No I think I'll just wait till they're on TV" .... he was pretty close to right, of course.

I miss him.

huh? during the clinton years that information was everywhere! remember gennifer flowers and paula jones and kathleen willey? same with mcCain. his womanizing and leaving his first sick wife was covered. all presidential candidates get this treatment. it's not exclusive to obama and wright.

All of this disgusting stuff went on when millions of voters were toddlers or small children.

It may not be news to us but it is most certainly more pertinent than running Wright around the track again.

What really counts is that he supports Israel to the limit.

Precisely. And what these threads do is divert attention for the kinds of issues that's aren't being discussed on msm, LIKE:

The arrest this week of an American-born Army engineer on charges that he spied for Israel, has revived the hunt for the "X Committee," the high-level apparatus of Israeli spies and agents-of-influence who worked with Jonathan Pollard, the convicted Israeli spy, who stole vast amounts of U.S. national security secrets during the 1980s, and passed them to Israel. On April 22, Ben- Ami Kadish was arrested at his home in New Jersey, and charged with delivering U.S. nuclear weapon and other military secrets to Israel.

Bush has a red phone hot line to Tel Aviv, rumor has it that Obummer will have a live video cam so his bosses in Israel will know when he is standing at attention.

It still doesn't negate my opinion that Obama is slightly better then Hillary or McCain.

That doesn't mean he is good.

And if Hannity and Rush are so afraid of him. Then there is a 1 percent chance that I just may vote for him in the general.

We are screwed regardless. Maybe Obama would be a more interesting turn of events. Maybe not. But like I said we are screwed anyways.

OF.. Rush et all are NOT afraid of Obama, their job is to keep the left/right fraud alive. People are catching on the one-party rule, AND for whom, and these hucksters serve the same master.

And we see there are still people that CAN NOT LET GO of that. They are perfectly programmed bots, when push comes to shove.

When pointing out the evil deeds of these candidates, IMO, all people should reject them ALL.

We are nothing but expendable trash to them.

And you are right, we're hosed, but FCOL, don't vote to give them more hose.

Other disgusting tibits about McCain at that point .... the wife he dumped had been crippled by a a car accident while he was captive.

His young trophy bride turned out to be a twofer ... her millionaire daddy bought McCain his first office.

Barry Obama is 1/2 Caucasian, 7/16 Arab and 1/16 African. That alone makes him an Arab-American, not an African-American. And there's your first display of re- writing history.

http://laotze.blogspot.com/2008/03/obamas-messianic-foreign-policy.html

Now, I'm beginning to think he's pretending to be 1/2 black to fool a particular electorate.

Yep, and this is John McCain the presidential candidate (not his ex-pastor, which would have no bearing on the election whatsoever).

And this has ZERO to do with Obama.

For a person who claims to be doing nothing more than taking a gamble with Obama, you sure have lots of vested interest in him. When I plop down $5 bucks on a roulette wheel, I don't do a lot of thinking about winning or losing. A smile or a shrug is the end result of my gamble, not some long, tortured examination of the actual bet. But that's me.

I dislike injustice. I don't agree with Zundel but I have posted articles in his defense.

For anyone to try and tie whatever Wright may or may not have done with Obama is so absurd it deserves condemnation.

Opinions, like belly buttons....

The question is does Obama ascribe to Wrights Black Racist Theology. After all he was a parishioner for 20 years, so the question is legitimate. Now, if a white politician is made to grovel for stepping foot on the campus of Bob Jones University, what except your acceptance of reverse racism, rationalizes cutting Obama a break with this pig?

Pastor Wright Erased From Obama’s Website

If Obama were a neocon, this erasure alone would make for tons o' fun - as it should. Obama wouldn't be in this mess if he didn't crawl in bed with him in the first place.

Again as ... so well asked:

"And by your reasoning, is everyone who attends a Catholic Church a fag and a child molester?"

So is everyone who attends a Catholic Church a pedophile?

No! Therefore trying to make Obama evil because of whatever his pastor may have done is just absurd.

Meanwhile John McCain the candidate (not his ex-pastor) did indeed dump his wife and for a very wealthy one.

Most Black Church pastors rant about the same as Wright from what I've read. Consider, the soundbites played over and over are taken from 36 years of preaching. Wright's sermons were not one controversial statement after another, as MSM and Fox News would have people believe.

Obama has spoken out against Wright's divisive statements. Now he has even further distanced himself from Wright.

From all that Obama has said about race, including his outstanding speech on race when the Wright controversy was first reported, he is most certainly not a racist.

How do you equate attending someone's church as crawling into bed with him?

Well, I think he is a neo-con... but that's beside the point.

You are right..

Dear Barry:

My heart has been crushed so many times before, I have almost lost count. It seems like every four years I get in a serious relationship with a new guy; it starts with infatuation but he invariably turns out to be a boozer, an abuser, or a loser, and I am left to pick up the pieces. I swear sometimes I must be cursed or subconsciously a masochist.

Finally, though, I think I may have met Mister Right. He's tall and dark and handsome, with this mysterious, dreamy, rugged faraway look in his eye that tells me he is THE ONE. Whenever he needs to borrow my car, or some money for his experimental jazz project, he always looks deep in my eyes and says "thank you" in that smoky baritone, and I swear I think I'm going to melt.

Long story short, we've moved in together. But now that I've finally found true love, some of my so-called "friends" have been less than supportive. Most of them are very positive, but a few have lately been "warning" me that he's no good, and hangs out with a bad crowd, and blah blah blah. How do I deal with this kind of petty jealousy? Also, when would be a good time for me to ask my new boyfriend what his name is?

Puzzled in Washington

Dear Puzzled:

Don't listen to the nay-sayers! I say follow your heart, and hop on your dreamboat tramp steamer for a mystery love cruise to Fantasy Island. Even if that Island is deserted and filled with tropical disease, you can still make beautiful experimental jazz together.

How do you equate attending someone's church as crawling into bed with him?

Well first, he attended the church for 20 years, never once hearing a nasty comment. Sure. Second, he married Obama and the racist Michelle. Then Barry asked Wright to baptise his children, which was quickly followed by an appointment to Obama's African American Religious Leadership Committee. Finally, he was at Obama's presidential announcement, where they prayed together immediately before the announcement. So see? There's much more of a relationship here than you can admit.
