There are new polls of the Democratic nomination race in Indiana and North Carolina today from Zogby International. They show Barack Obama holding on to a 9-percentage-point lead over Hillary Rodham Clinton in North Carolina, 48%-39%.

The Indiana race is a statistical tie, with Obama edging Clinton 43%-41%. Yesterday they were one percentage point apart.

As always, we caution you that these are snapshots and we don't know what voters will do when those states vote on Tuesday.

In other primary news, Obama has picked up several newspaper endorsements. They include:

--The Charlotte Observer. "Do the Democrats need a restoration of the past, or is it time for a change? We think it's time for a change."

--The Louisville Courier-Journal. "Sen. Obama's relentless focus on change, and the hordes of new voters he draws to the polls, would make it hard for his victory to be read as anything other than a mandate for changing how Washington works."

--Also the Muncie Star Press and Gary Post-Tribune.

Earlier, Clinton was endorsed by the Indianapolis Star. Subscribe to *Obama 2008*

UPDATEDx2 - Obama officially wins Guam - A VERY GOOD DAY For OBAMA!

Wow ! - this has been a busy Saturday in politics. The day is still young, and there's already been lots of news from the superdelegates.

Obama has picked up 8 superdelegates today and 2 pledged delegates from Guam.

So far today, Obama has been endorsed by Brian Colon, the Democratic Party Chairman in New Mexico.

Obama also received an endorsement from the South Carolina add-on, former State Education Superintendent Inez Tenenbaum.

He gained support from Maryland add-on, former Gov. Parris Glendening.

He has picked up:
Jaime Paulino (Guam) - an Obama supporter
Pilar Lujan (Guam) - undecided but on record stating she will support the popular vote winner in Guam.

Meanwhile Clinton picked up:
Maryland add-on, former Lt. Gov. Kathleen Kennedy Townsend.

And in non-super delegate news:

Julia Louis-Dreyfus and Martin Sheen support Obama!

Superchunk and Arcade Fire are rocking out for Obama in North Carolina.

Obama has rebounded in the Gallup daily poll, and he is up BIG in Oregon.

He reached out to John Edwards, and gave his amazing "Closing argument" in Indianapolis (Here's the ad video).

Friends of the Earth has endorsed Obama (are you listening Gore?)

The Magnequench and WVWV issues are both catching up with CLinton.

Virginia Governor Timothy Kaine is going to campaign for Obama in Indiana and Ron Paul, yes THE Ron Paul is considering supporting Obama because of his policy on foreign affairs.

This has been a VERY GOOD DAY for OBAMA!

UPDATE 1:
Early voting is HUGE in North Carolina and favors Obama.

Yoda has endorsed Obama (warning: satire - but fun)

The Clinton Gas Tax Holiday pandering is getting some healthy criticism.

We've known this for a couple of days, but Obama is about to officially pick up 3 more Illinois superdelegates this weekend:
Mayor Daley
Illinois House Majority Leader Barbara Flynn Currie
Illinois Cook County Board President Todd Stroger

UPDATE 2:

Obama has WON GUAM and Jaime Paulino and Pilar Lujan will be his superdelegates!

It was funny but I hope Yoda will sue them for character assasination for claiming he would support some establishment whore. Maybe if Jabba the Hutt or the Dark Side endorsed him it might be believable but I don't believe Yoda or Jar Jar Binks would.

Mad, passed-out-McCain baby. LOL! Despite the fact that I think Obama, Clinton and McCain are all nogoodniks, I have to say that is a funny video. Thanks for the laugh.
