I have to be honest, I'm completely distressed at what's happened to this forum. The fighting and the distrust between those for and those against Obama has gotten to the point where, in my opinion, it's destroying the forum. What's the point of having an open free speech venue when everyone is bozo'ing everyone else?

When I read my mission statement and what Freedom4um was created to be, I don't even recognize the place anymore. There will be changes made in the near future as I decide what is best for the continued growth of this forum.

Yeah, a virtual WASP Blonde Ice Goddess, coiffed, poised, impeccably dressed with a classy sense of style and blonde.

Yeah, and with rich, snotty, self-absorbed bitch smeared all over her.

Have you ever heard her say two words? Except maybe something in Johnnie's ear like "don't get to close him, he's not our kind".

only republicans can afford that. maybe you could help us poor people by giving us large flag pins too!!

No then you might get confused with the loyal Americans who value freedom.

Besides us few rich need a surplus of poor to do our bidding.

Just imagine the devastation a non-existent nuclear devise without a delivery system can do. It will, however, cause 6 M. Israelis to soil their tasseled undies, but that’s not our problem.

Make it three. (for McCain)

Good for you ... it's the people voting for Baldwin, some other dude whose name escapes me, poor Dr. Paul, George Washington, or Barry Goldwater that get on my nerves.

Sheesh, why trudge out to the polls just so you can brag about being an oddball eccentric till the next election.

Hundred more years of war.

I think you are right, I'll see about allocating more of my massive portfolio into Halliburton, Carysile, Lockheed, and I really want to get some of the Blackwater IPO action. Those boys do a great job!!

Egads, I am going to have a great year financially, I'll be able to support the AIPAC and jewish supremist candidates even more.

And if that wench Clinton some how wins, our PAC will make her keep her campaign promise to us to "Obliterate" Iran.

What a GREAT PASSOVER 2009 will be. Plenty for all the chosen.

I love America.

Dandelion Soup (Jewish Sephardic)

Jewish cooking has many varieties, depending on the country of origin. Sephardic cooking indicates one of the peoples in the Mediterranean area - Spanish, Italian, Greek, Turkish to name a few. This soup is a wonderful springtime use of dandelion, an under used green that is rich in nutrients.

  • 1/4 pound dried chick-peas
  • 1/4 pound dried white beans
  • Water for soaking
  • 1/2 pound corned beef
  • 2 tablespoons cooking oil
  • 1/4 pound garlic beef sausage
  • 8 cups water
  • 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
  • 2 tomatoes, chopped
  • 1-1/2 teaspoons ground cumin
  • 2 potatoes, peeled and diced
  • 1/2 pound chopped dandelion greens or spinach
  • 2 to 4 tablespoons margarine
  • 1 cup croutons

Judenrein is the “word” I learned early on; you might, or might not, recall my much earlier post about living in a Nazi occupied country during WW II. (It wasn’t all that exiting.)

Sounds damn good.

But I'll probably substitute hand-cut, extra garlic kielbasa for the garlic beef sausage.

well robin, we've all enjoyed reading your posts & tremendous articles & links you put up routinely. The forum will suffer if you leave. Thats why Christine might re-consider. then you'll be back (we hope). if you take your energy and intelligence to another forum, then they will benefit tremendously.

however, I feel less & less reason to participate myself.

someone said you were a 'closet commie', isn't that insane!!

I'd recommend learning that we're just not going to produce anything good in this particular election process at this time. at least you've definitely been up to the challenge & put up the good fight for a long time.

I still can't understand people speaking the insults over little differences of opinion.

good luck if I don't see you here any more.

Since I already explained although I just started using bozo and have more than 10 on bozo, that means I'll be off then. There are 60-80 unique posters a day on this forum, 14 didn't seem that many when it allowed me to have a pleasant experience.

Don't run off robin.

I feel your pain, but among several things wrong with cristine's panicking is that you can't tell without going to a lot of trouble if whether all your bozo's are still active posters.

I can tell that 4 or 5 of mine still are because I see them being replied to. But there's another handful that I think may have quit posting, but can't tell for sure.

Just suggestions, but I'm watching a lot more Comedy Channel and less news/talk, and trying to laugh at potential bozos .... that or just plain ignore them.

Neil, could you please elaborate a bit on what would cause you to ask such a question? It seemed out of character to me.

I made the casual statement that safeguarding the 2A at the "expense of innocent lives" was not morally acceptable. For some reason, a few people here took wild exception to this, *apparently* advocating that murdering innocent people was an acceptable cost to getting some pro-2A laws passed.

Assuming these people weren't really that crazy, I started a Hypothetical Quiz thread where I attempted to make my case more vivid, thus the moral choice of actively killing a child vs fulling restoring the 2A.

The real life potential for this hypothetical point is whether it is morally acceptable to vote for someone for president who promises to restore the 2A while also promising to start a war with Iran, admitting that it will mean 10's of thousands or 100's of thousands of innocent Iranians killed. Would it be morally acceptable to vote for him?

I say no, and apparently in the eyes of a few here, that makes me a liberal gun grabbing nonsensical idiot. All I can say is, if it does, I certainly hope I never encounter any logical and sane pro-2A people like GW Bush in any future encounters.

I've incorporated my compromise solution to the bozo filter debate. The total number of slots is now 10 rather than 20. I hope that's a decision that everyone can live with, but if not, I understand.

Damned if I understand your logic, cristine.

The system puts Obama in such a sweet spot, why first of all, does he wish to change it anyway, when he's been the beneficiary of it to the extent that Obama, a one term Senator with barely a couple of years in the Senate gets to compete for the highest political office in the land.

Personally, I'm not real enamored with career politicians.

We got a little twerp in my town that kicked off his "career" by getting elected to city council when he was about eighteen.

No sense mentioning his name, you'll never hear of it, anyhow.

You and the promises of politicians. These bastards are born with defective DNA - they open their mouths and lies tumble out. Your hypothetical is likewise defective. No sane man would accept their promise of no war in exchange for voluntary gun confiscation.
