I am watching the Indiana/Carolina primaries returns. Hilly is leading in Indiana by some 14% and CNN already gave Carolina to Obama and they don't expect Hilly to do a double-digit in Indiana. All the big heads, including Hilly backers, it seems to me, are discussing Hilly as a has-been. Or, at least, that seems to be the mood.

If Hilly loses Carolina big and she squeaks a win in NC, she may turn into the big heads' laughing stock if she keeps insisting that she's in for the win.

If she'd waited any longer to make her victory speech, her TV audience would all have gone to bed.

Is it true that once more she failed to congratulate Obama for his victory (in NC this time)?

To reason, indeed, he was not in the habit of attending. His mode of arguing, if it is to be so called, was one not uncommon among dull and stubborn persons, who are accustomed to be surrounded by their inferiors. He asserted a proposition; and, as often as wiser people ventured respectfully to show that it was erroneous, he asserted it again, in exactly the same words, and conceived that, by doing so, he at once disposed of all objections. - Macaulay, "History of England," Vol. 1, Chapter 6, on James II.

What I didn't get was the 'invisible' diatribe.

She says that people feel invisible when they pay $70 to fill up the tank or can't afford the medical bill. How's that? Did someone did a survey? I never feel invisible when I pay for gas.

Actually she did and, to my surprise, she did thank her supporters in NC. She just did. She's playing kitten now. She's like 'come on, come play with me and... I WILL FIGHT FOR YOU!!!"

It would certainly make driving off without paying a lot easier.

Apparently the mayor of Gary has just said that there will be enough votes in his county to put Obama over the top in IN.

That's just about all that's left to count.

According to the CNN interactive map, Monroe has some votes to count but it's just a few thousands - it's solidly Obama. A couple more counties, East of Lake are Hillary's but they are in the high 80%.

(CBS/AP) CBS News projects that Hillary Rodham Clinton will win the Indiana Democratic primary and Barack Obama will win in North Carolina.

Clinton pulled off an Indiana win in what was a virtual must-win Midwestern state, but her margin of victory appears to be small. With 88 percent of the votes being reported in the state, she was leading Obama 52 percent to 48 percent.

At a rally in Indianapolis, Clinton said that her Indiana victory had "broken the tie."

"And thanks to you, it's full speed to the White House," she said to the cheering crowd.

CBS News chief political consultant Marc Ambinder reports Clinton will talk with her campaign brain trust on Wednesday to decide what to do next.

CBS projected a Hillary victory in IN just after I left work, around 8 o'clock or earlier. They'll be reluctant to take that back.

Especially when Hillary may well still pull it out.

That's it then. Between 92 & 95% reporting she lost a lot of ground, but then between 95 & 99% she got all that back and *more* to win by over 22K votes!

I guess we could say that in that final stretch she really pulled an upset of sorts. Wouldn't you agree, 20? I'm sure that's how Hillary will see it and call it, anyway. An upset victory!
