I am watching the Indiana/Carolina primaries returns. Hilly is leading in Indiana by some 14% and CNN already gave Carolina to Obama and they don't expect Hilly to do a double-digit in Indiana. All the big heads, including Hilly backers, it seems to me, are discussing Hilly as a has-been. Or, at least, that seems to be the mood.

If Hilly loses Carolina big and she squeaks a win in NC, she may turn into the big heads' laughing stock if she keeps insisting that she's in for the win.

If Hilly loses Carolina big and she squeaks a win in NC,

You mean squeak by in Indiana. The math has been against her for quite some time. Even splitting delegates evenly in these 2 states right now is a loss for her, and it seems she won't even do that.

Thank you. That's what I meant. The CNN's may know something. Her lead in Indiana is down to 8% now, with 52% of the ballots counted. Even Loudobbs who was as much a Hillarist as anyone else seemed subdued. Begala, a Hillarist had only good things to say about Obama and looks relaxed. Not one person representing Hillary's campaign showed up yet to discuss the returns.

Donna Brazille all but announced her Obama support on CNN. She said that she's 'undeclared' not 'undecided'. Then she said that she wants to 'unify' her party which is clearly code word to 'screw Hillary'.

Maybe the urban precincts were not counted previously and they are starting to come in. A 56/44 % would be pretty impressive, but 52/48 is much different.

Consider also the delegate count for NC and IN. NC has 115 and IN has 72. Factor that in and it should make Hillary's train wreck pretty much official.

(CBS/AP) CBS News projects that Hillary Rodham Clinton will win the Indiana Democratic primary and Barack Obama will win in North Carolina.

Clinton pulled off an Indiana win in what was a virtual must-win Midwestern state, but her margin of victory appears to be small. With 88 percent of the votes being reported in the state, she was leading Obama 52 percent to 48 percent.

At a rally in Indianapolis, Clinton said that her Indiana victory had "broken the tie."

"And thanks to you, it's full speed to the White House," she said to the cheering crowd.

CBS News chief political consultant Marc Ambinder reports Clinton will talk with her campaign brain trust on Wednesday to decide what to do next.

Who will Obama choose as his VP?

If he is the nominee and doesn't choose Hillary, he will lose to McCain. Hillary supporters carry huge grudges around.

County Results --- 99% Reporting

Gone unnoticed: McCain took 78% in Indiana and 74% in N. Carolina. That's not great for a presumptive nominee running essentially unopposed.

Most Republicans will hold their nose and vote for McCain in the fall to stop national health care. I won't, but I completely understand what they are doing.

Most Pubs and Dems will vote their party. The Independents include a large number of former Pubs who are disaffected with Bush. Few of those really want a far left Dem now any more than they wanted Kerry. They are angry at Bush and anger usually wins out, but there will be a lot of nose holding whichever way they go.

The economy will remain the dominant topic. The war will also remain a major topic. With McCain talking about 100 years in Iraq, OPEC may strive for $5 a gallon gas by election day.

It will pbly be a bit. Next up are WV & KY where she can win. In the meantime she can still raise some funds from the faithful.

My deepest congratulations to the next President of the United States, Barack Obama.

That can only happen if McCain lets it happen by not bringing out the dirt on him with Ayers. McCain may take a dive like Bob Dole, but that is yet to be seen. Somehow when this is all over I think Hillary will be the President one way or the other. Either by inheriting it when Obama has an "accident", or by beating McCain.

God is always good!

McCain is the sacrificial lamb. The Repugs are out this year, and they are keeping the powder dry of all future contenders.

They of course hope four years of President Obama will give them an opening to hope memory of Bush's horrible presidency has dimmed enough to get someone in.

Won't happen though. Obama is going to be an inspiring and effective president.

I also changed my mind and changed my registration. Until after I vote for Barack Obama in the Oregon primary, I am a Democrat once more. But I will change back to my Pacific Green party registration very soon afterward. I don't think I will ever feel like a Democrat ever again after Clinton compelled me to change my registration after his very Moderate Republican-like administration.

I am also canvassing and doing other work in the local Obama campaign.

Ricky, I believe that you 'predicted' that Obama will be out by the end of this month. Are you still predicting that?

I am asking because you advised me to 'watch and learn' and I agreed that I will be learning if that happened but I also suggested that you learn a thing or 2 if you turn out to be wrong.

So... what do you say? What do you say?

She "loaned" herself a few more mil this morning.

TV commentators speculated last night that part of the deal she will cut with Obama for her to drop out will be for Obama to pay off her campaign debt. (seriously)

Speaking of predictions, I wonder what will happen to all the predictions that Hillary would get the presidential nomination, and Obama would have to settle for the VP nomination.

Betcha Cynicom never admits he was wrong.

Just like Hillary never admits that she's wrong. Maybe I finally understand why he said he was going to vote for her.

To reason, indeed, he was not in the habit of attending. His mode of arguing, if it is to be so called, was one not uncommon among dull and stubborn persons, who are accustomed to be surrounded by their inferiors. He asserted a proposition; and, as often as wiser people ventured respectfully to show that it was erroneous, he asserted it again, in exactly the same words, and conceived that, by doing so, he at once disposed of all objections. - Macaulay, "History of England," Vol. 1, Chapter 6, on James II.

I usually don't have much use for Obama, but seeing the end of Hillary's Presidential hopes does give me a lot of satisfaction. That hag acted as though she was entitled to the White House since 1993, and has acted like she was in waiting for coronation ever since. Barring a landslide in her favor in every other state or party manipulation, I'm glad that it's finally over for her.

RickyJ predicted that Obama will drop out before the end of the month. We've been getting weekly predictions of imminent attacks on Iran. Cheney predicts that Iran will try to nuke Israel next year.

I was reading she punched another $6.4 mil into her campaign. I don't think Obama can use his campaign funds for her debt, but perhaps he could agree to not object if Party funds were used. Let her fight on and pay her own bills.
