I am watching the Indiana/Carolina primaries returns. Hilly is leading in Indiana by some 14% and CNN already gave Carolina to Obama and they don't expect Hilly to do a double-digit in Indiana. All the big heads, including Hilly backers, it seems to me, are discussing Hilly as a has-been. Or, at least, that seems to be the mood. If Hilly loses Carolina big and she squeaks a win in NC, she may turn into the big heads' laughing stock if she keeps insisting that she's in for the win.

They are still waiting for the results from Union County. Union County is a county located in the U.S. state of Indiana. As of 2000, the population is 7,349. The county seat is Liberty.

That's it then. Between 92 & 95% reporting she lost a lot of ground, but then between 95 & 99% she got all that back and *more* to win by over 22K votes! I guess we could say that in that final stretch she really pulled an upset of sorts. Wouldn't you agree, 20? I'm sure that's how Hillary will see it and call it, anyway. An upset victory!

Gone unnoticed: McCain took 78% in Indiana and 74% in N. Carolina. That's not great for a presumptive nominee running essentially unopposed.
Most Republicans will hold their nose and vote for McCain in the fall to stop national health care. I won't, but I completely understand what they are doing.

I won't, but I completely understand what they are doing. 26% OF REPUBLICAN VOTERS AGAINST MCCAIN IN NORTH CAROLINA... Most Pubs and Dems will vote their party. The Independents include a large number of former Pubs who are disaffected with Bush. Few of those really want a far left Dem now any more than they wanted Kerry. They are angry at Bush and anger usually wins out, but there will be a lot of nose holding whichever way they go. The economy will remain the dominant topic. The war will also remain a major topic. With McCain talking about 100 years in Iraq, OPEC may strive for $5 a gallon gas by election day.

It will pbly be a bit. Next up are WV & KY where she can win. In the meantime she can still raise some funds from the faithful.
That can only happen if McCain lets it happen by not bringing out the dirt on him with Ayers. McCain may take a dive like Bob Dole, but that is yet to be seen. Somehow when this is all over I think Hillary will be the President one way or the other. Either by inheriting it when Obama has an "accident", or by beating McCain.

McCain is the sacrificial lamb. The Repugs are out this year, and they are keeping the powder dry of all future contenders. They of course hope four years of President Obama will give them an opening to hope memory of Bush's horrible presidency has dimmed enough to get someone in. Won't happen though. Obama is going to be an inspiring and effective president. I also changed my mind and changed my registration. Until after I vote for Barack Obama in the Oregon primary, I am a Democrat once more. But I will change back to my Pacific Green party registration very soon afterward. I don't think I will ever feel like a Democrat ever again after Clinton compelled me to change my registration after his very Moderate Republican-like administration. I am also canvassing and doing other work in the local Obama campaign.
Ricky, I believe that you 'predicted' that Obama will be out by the end of this month. Are you still predicting that? I am asking because you advised me to 'watch and learn' and I agreed that I will be learning if that happened but I also suggested that you learn a thing or 2 if you turn out to be wrong. So... what do you say? What do you say?

I usually don't have much use for Obama, but seeing the end of Hillary's Presidential hopes does give me a lot of satisfaction. That hag acted as though she was entitled to the White House since 1993, and has acted like she was in waiting for coronation ever since. Barring a landslide in her favor in every other state or party manipulation, I'm glad that it's finally over for her.

I don't think Obama can use his campaign funds for her debt, but perhaps he could agree to not object if Party funds were used. Let her fight on and pay her own bills.
