Now that the D nomination process is over, does Hillary now help McCain beat up Obama (behind the scenes) so that he can’t win the general election in November, assuring McCain the presidency? She would then be the favorite to run against an ancient McCain in 2012. It seems like a real Clintoid possibility, especially given that she and McCain are best buds.

The thing to really worry about is, with Obama standing between Hillary and something she wants, it is time for Obama to start sleeping with a nightlight.

Sorry, Barack, but running for President can be a real O-Bummer!

That's the buzz. And with people here openly comparing O to JFK, my goodness...most of us remember that tragic November day.

Super Delegates are going to vote for Hillary, this is the prediction I'm going with through the convention.

Doesn't even matter if I'm wrong, since I have no credibility with people who really matter anyway. Oh how I envy them, their ability to corral their fellow creatures before they realised a rope was near.

Good work when you can get it.

And they write innumerable books; being too vain and distracted for silence: seeking every one after his own elevation, and dodging his emptiness. - T. S. Eliot

Does Hillary now help McCain beat up Obama ?

Why do that, when the SS gets Obamas security pulled off.

www.star- telegram.com/667/story/486413.html UPDATE: The Star-Telegram was granted an exclusive interview with Barack Obama on Saturday afternoon.» TAKE ME THERE

DALLAS -- Security details at Barack Obama's rally Wednesday stopped screening people for weapons at the front gates more than an hour before the Democratic presidential candidate took the stage at Reunion Arena.

The order to put down the metal detectors and stop checking purses and laptop bags came as a surprise to several Dallas police officers who said they believed it was a lapse in security.

Dallas Deputy Police Chief T.W. Lawrence, head of the Police Department's homeland security and special operations divisions, said the order -- apparently made by the U.S. Secret Service -- was meant to speed up the long lines outside and fill the arena's vacant seats before Obama came on.

"Sure," said Lawrence, when asked if he was concerned by the great number of people who had gotten into the building without being checked. But, he added, the turnout of more than 17,000 people seemed to be a "friendly crowd."

The Secret Service did not return a call from the Star-Telegram seeking comment.

------They may look intimidating, that's by design; but they aren't bulletproof. -------

Well, it's true that a great man died on 22 November 1963: C.S. Lewis. I don't know that I'd call it "tragic," though; it's not in the natural order of things for people to go on forever in this life.

Hi, Christine! I'm starting to take some nourishment -- thanks for asking. In the last few weeks, I foolishly paid one man to use medieval-looking tools to forcibly deprive me of my so-called "wisdom" teeth, and I think I must have paid somebody else to cook something for me but not to wash his/her hands after their last trip to the thundermug. In short, I could've been a lot smarter.

How's about your lovely self?

The fat lady hasn't sung yet. Hillary still has a legitimate shot at the popular vote lead.

God is always good!
