Michigan State Lawmakers Consult Mexican Officials on Migration The Associated Press MEXICO CITY (AP) - Mexican foreign relations officials on Wednesday met with Michigan legislators to discuss the living conditions of Mexicans living in the United States, authorities said. Republican State Sen. Valde Garcia led the bipartisan delegation of lawmakers to Mexico City to meet with Mexican Deputy Foreign Secretary Geronimo Gutierrez and Mexican Consul in Detroit Antonio Mena, according to a statement from the Foreign Relations Department. The Michigan leaders also plan to consult with members of the Mexican Senate and House, the Economy secretary and academics during their four-day visit. A Michigan State University adviser and the leader of a state commission on teaching Spanish also were in Mexico. The Michigan group also will visit Puebla state Gov. Mario Martin and Tlaxcala Gov. Hector Israel Ortiz, according to the statement.

I think I know how the conversation went. Michigan Legislator to Mexican Official: "So how can we stop the influx of Illegal Aliens to our State?" Mexican Official: "What gives you the idea that it's your state gringo?" Michigan Legislator: "Well the fact that it's been a state of the union for a very long time, and the fact that it's no where near the Mexican Border" Mexican Official: "It was stolen from the Mexican People, It's part of our native Aztlan." Michigan Legislator: "Now stop right there, we want a stop to illegal immigration, and the State of Michigan was never a part of Mexico." Mexican Official: "This whole fricking country is ours you pinche' Gringo. If you don't want to live around Mexicans, then Move to Mexico."

More likely the Michigan legislators were consulting with the Mexican officials to discover ways to make it easier for the illegals in Michigan to take advantage of programs and services payed for with US tax dollars.
