A senior campaign official and Clinton confidante has told me that there will be a Democratic nominee by June 15. He could not bring himself to say the words "Hillary will drop out by June 15," but that is clearly what he meant. I kept saying, "So, Hillary will drop out by June 15," and he kept saying, "We will have a nominee by June 15." He stressed what a reasonable person Hillary is. Everything about our conversation implied that he had already had this reality-based discussion with Hillary. He said the Clinton campaign plan is to collect as many votes and delegates as they can right through June 3, then take no more than a week or so to make their case to the superdelegates. Nothing he said indicated that he actually expected the superdelegates to move to Hillary in the week after the final election. The Clinton campaign has not lost its grip on reality. Yes, Clinton spokespersons publicly seem to be lost on gravity-free planet Clinton, but privately they know the end is near.

I'm no Hillary fan but when is someone going to question the unconstitutional super delegates subverting the will of the people? Where in the Constitution does it say that political parties run the elections?
I question it.

the clintons have friends in high places. i don't think she's out for the count yet. btw, i never have understood this super delegates game.
I don't think she is either. I don't understand it at all and the Dems have no one to blame for that but themselves. I will be curious to see what they do with Florida and Michigan.

They can't give Michigan as a win to the Hildabeast as Obama simply was not on the ballot because of the ruling about the delegates because they defied the DNC by having their primary too early. They are not going to let the Clintons scuttle the election by playing games, Obama is the nominee, he will be the next president of the United States. Hillary Clinton will have four to six years to analyze where she went wrong and then can try again, or not. That is just how it is.
justlurking: I don't think she is either. I think Hildabeast wants a Supreme Court Justice guaranteed appointment out of Obama before she will give up the fight. If she can't have the WH, she wants a life time appointment with the uncontested power to influence American politics. Hey Hillary is an ambitious girl. You don't think she fought tooth and nail all this way only to shake Big O's hand and wish him the best with nothing in return, do you?
