A school official talks to concerned parents gathered today at Locke High School in South Los Angeles, site of an afternoon melee among students. Four people are arrested after a lunchtime melee involving as many as 600 students. By Howard Blume and Mitchell Landsberg, Los Angeles Times Staff Writers May 10, 2008

A fight between rival groups of black and Latino students at Locke High School quickly escalated into a campus-wide melee Friday, with as many as 600 students brawling until police restored calm with billy clubs.

The troubled campus in South Los Angeles was locked down after the fight broke out at 12:55 p.m., as students returned from lunch to their fifth-period classes. Overwhelmed school officials called Los Angeles police for help, but students and faculty said it took about half an hour before dozens of officers, many in riot gear, restored order.

I agree, except many of them believed in the myth of diversity. When LA was on fire, they accepted their fate and began to pay off the devil with one concession after another. They were terrorized by the riots. And they were unwilling to stop the invasion of Mexicans into the country. When they did try, vote after vote brought them confrontational judicial activism, or outright tail turning on the part of governors and legislators.

California is living proof that we've had racial tolerance enforced on us at the price of the country itself. The nation-destroyers will not stop until the entire country is a third-world hovel.

Remember poor Wilson and Prop 187? it was real draconian....something like no more health care/welfare for illegals. The Rs shit a brick and the place has spun out of control since.

If that's the case, she made a very bad call.

There are a lot of Anti-Semitic Mexicans. Check aztlan.net for additional details. It is based in Los Angeles. It used to be quite the hotbed of anti-semitic activity.

It's a German word, and there's a region in Germany by that name, approximately. They say they were among America's first German immigrants. Who knows.

A lot of German last names are regional, meaning they are named after the region they inhabited.

I'm probably related to this person as my own family's Bavarian contingent arrived in the 19th Century....

We've heard so often how the Irish and Italians were abused by descendants of the original English immigrants. We've heard how the Catholics were shunned. And more recently, the producers of West Side Story felt the need to change the Catholic and Jewish couple to Polish and Puerto Rican.

Locke High School is located in the heart of South Central Los Angeles; when you mention South Central to an Angelino he immediately understands what the “problem” is.

“South Central” is also such a politically loaded, “racist” designation that it was officially banished as a location couple of years ago. It can not be printed in a newspaper, and the cops absolutely can not use it in radio traffic. I kid you not!
