RATS ain't got the message to whup the GOP.

Whup?

Huh?

Oh well, anyway.......

The only message that the democrats will need can be summed up in 3 words, "No more bush."

The vast majority of Americans have seen their quality of life and their prospects for improvement plummet during the bush administration.

The congressional elections of '06 were just a warm up.

It won't even be close. Remember '94? Remember the ass-kicking the democrats took by a fed up population?

Fed up doesn't begin to describe what the middle class is feeling right now.

Sorry, my friend, the republican party is about to be defeated, disbanded and forgotten.

Once the Dems restore the Fairness Doctrine, people like Limbaugh and Hannity will be taken off the air by the stations' bosses.

I read in today's Financial Times that a deal has been struck to sell Clear Channel.

I read in today's Financial Times that a deal has been struck to sell Clear Channel.

Do you have a link to that story? Clear Channel was the company that destroyed my interest in radio. I used to be a huge fan of radio, listened all the time. Then Clear Channel came along, and pretty soon the stations I listened to were running more ads, and more ads, and yet more ads, then even more... pretty soon all I could here in my mind were the ads ads ads ads ads. Their stations started to sound like this:

"Welcome back to the Clear Channel radio show! Say, Clinton sucks! How bad does he suck? Let's hear a word from our sponsors!"

(ten minutes of ads)

"And now back to our topic. Does Clinton suck? We'll be right back to discuss that!"

(ten minutes of ads)

"You're listening to the Clear Channel radio show! Clinton, boy does he suck or what? We'll discuss that after this word from our sponsors!"

(ten minutes of ads)

"The topic is Clinton, does he suck or what? Let's hear what our callers have to say about that after this message!"

(ten minutes of ads)

"Hello caller, do you think Clinton sucks?" "Yes, I do" "Thank you for that, and we'll be right back after this brief commercial message!"

(ten minutes of ads)
(one minute of show)
(ten minutes of ads)
(one minute of show)
(ten minutes of ads)
(one minute of show)
(ten minutes of ads)
(one minute of show)
Repeat into infinity.

......

At this point you could not pay me to listen to radio. Just thinking about radio annoys me. Thank you Clear Channel for destroying that particular medium.
