The roll over of 28 delegates to Hillary was an in your face statement that he's about to win as well as a middle finger to the residents of that state that after he wins he won't be needing them or visiting them. It is reverse racism masquerading as efficient politics. I'm from West Virginia. I grew up there in towns like Williamson, Welch, Bluefield, and Princeton. I came back after the military to go to law school at West Virginia University. Most of my relatives still live there. While admittedly some of them have eyes that work independently of each other ( they can look at you and watch a plane go overhead at the same time) they are good people. Nearly every family reunion is made up of two kinds of dishes: everything that can be made with sugar on one side of the table and everything that can be made with mayonnaise on the other. Gravy is a beverage and cholesterol is served as a side dish. West Virginia actually epitomizes who Barack despises. He wouldn't if they were black but because they are white working poor, it's a little bit more challenging. Not all of West Virginia lives in a mobile home and works in the coal mines. I actually started wearing shoes at age twelve but everyone since then has gotten them earlier. One of the richest families in America, Jay Rockefeller and his wife, have served the state for decades now and are loved not for their money but for the committment that is bigger than the money. Its Universities, Law and Medical Schools, and tough as nails high school football teams are worth mentioning as well. Robert Byrd is the Thomas Jefferson of the state and at an age somewhere between 100 and Mt. Rushmore, shows no signs of slowing down. It's interesting that two cliche's avoided each other like a cliche': Barack and West Virginia. Barack has accomplished what he set out to do and that is to make the media his new electoral college and the delegates and voters mere after thoughts. If Hillary had avoided a state like Barack did West Virginia she wouldn't be able to get off the front page or the newwires. Barack is a creature of the polls, custom made to fit the campaign trail and the suits that are all one color. It's only fitting that the polls should tell him to do what common sense would have told him to do differently: don't alienate the people who are going to serve. While your campaign can run on soundbites, surveys, and platitudes, eventually you will have to actually talk to someone and make sense. When this campaign is over, win or lose, Americans will eventually see the farce that modern media's alleged objectivity and journalism has become and the multi-millions it takes to get a 400K a year job and a private jet. His campaign about a new day in America is Jack Kennedy repackaged with darker skin. The only original thought in the campaign was to run. The most unoriginal thought was to hide.
