Kucinich--one who didn't raise his hand. When asked why he didn't believe in a global war on terror, he said, "because the fact of the matter is that the global War on Terror has been a pretext for aggressive war."

was there ever any doubt that all ''mainstream'' candidates are anti-freedom establishment puppets? Why would anyone, especialy those who follow these issues, fall for the BS and support a guy who came out of nowhere and is 'Zbigs' lackee? I could see why some ignorant housewife or joe six pack might support obama if they 'want change', but how could anyone on a forum such as this one not see through it all?

I dont understand all the hysteria and bickering about obama here, I had assumed that everyone already got it.

I wish I could find that vid of the debates where Edwards went after Obama and asked him to explain why he only voted PRESENT, on important votes.. over 100 times, voting PRESENT.

Now this endorsement from Edwards, completely illustrates the absence of principle.

Edwards is only there, to try and get the 'stupid white people' vote.

Edwards is a loser thrice over now. So much so, his wifes endorsement is considered more valuable. He can release his delegates, and this is the main swipe at Hillary. It won't help in the general if Obama is the nom.

I had an obama supporter let me put an 8 foot wide ron paul sign on his building on a major street for a few months before the primary here in CA. he said he sympathized with the cause, so that was cool. meanwhile he thinks that obama will 'bring change'.

In the end none of it matters.

Welcome to the Land of the very confused, Artisan. Obama would not be where he is unless he was duly ordained by the powers that be. And I have to say, some Os aren't confused; they were posing as independents or constitutionalists, when all along they were members of the Democrat party. All well and good, but it took a major blow up to learn their true colors. Obama would not be where he is unless he was duly ordained by the powers that be.

Obama said in the statement his aides distributed. "George Bush knows that I have never supported engagement with terrorists, and the president's extraordinary politicization of foreign policy and the politics of fear do nothing to secure the American people or our stalwart ally Israel.

Obama: yet another certified Israel ass kisser.

The WOT is a fraud, yes or no?

Yes. But, the "national security" GOPers plus media have created a climate where candidates who say so risk getting called "weak", "appeaser", "soft on terrorism", "crypto-Muslim", "al Qaida sympathizer", "not patriotic", "not supporting the troops", ad nausium.

Fringe candidates have nothing to loose by speaking the truth. For mainstreamers, especially early in the campaign, there is more to loose by taking on the other mainstreamers and the media on this issue. Does that mean Obama actually buys it? He's a smart guy. I doubt it. But, time will tell.

Fact is, he has questioned many of the WOT's foundational precepts already. For example:

1) Obama rejects preemptive war in favor of diplomatic engagement.

2) Obama will engage with and, therefore, re-humanize neo-con "archvillians" Achmanidejad, Chavez, etc.

3) Obama rejects the notion that Iraq is a "frontline in the war on terror". He believes that it is a strategic mistake that needs to be reversed ASAP.

4) Obama wants to refocus the mission on capturing al Qaida. This is great, because once the CIA proxy army is taken out (for real) he can declare victory and end that war as well.

5) Obama rejects the fear mongering of the GOP with his message of hope. This in and of itself undermines WOT psychological ops.

6) Obama, like all lefty Dems, wants to spend money on domestic social programs, not the MIC and fake WOT. As such, he has a built in imperative to end the fake WOT, gut the MIC and redirect the money to domestic programs.

In sum, your attempts to equate Obama with the neo-con/GOPer WOT fighters don't wash. The informed know better and will prevail this November.

McCain and the Neocon crazies must be defeated!

So, although the WOT is a fiction, Obama acknowledged it exists in debate so he wouldn't be called nasty names. Further, he is willing to launch preemptive war against al-Qaida (another fiction) because of...of....political pressure?

1) Obama rejects preemptive war in favor of diplomatic engagement.

Obama threatens military force against al-Qaida in Pakistan.

Byline: Mike Dorning

WASHINGTON _ Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama, under attack from a rival who portrays him as naive on foreign policy, declared Wednesday he would use military force against al-Qaida operatives hiding in tribal areas of Pakistan if that nation did not move more aggressively against them first.

The Illinois senator threatened he would take military action as president, if necessary, despite the risk of undercutting the country's leader, Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf, an important American ally.

"I understand that President Musharraf has his own challenges," Obama said. "But let me make this clear. There are terrorists holed up in those mountains who murdered 3,000 Americans. They are plotting to strike again. ... If we have actionable intelligence about high-value terrorist targets and President Musharraf will not act, we will."

Obama delivered the warning in a speech on counter-terrorism policy at the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars, a think tank in Washington.

Obama's stance provided a show of foreign-policy strength at a time when his chief rival in early presidential polling, Sen. Hillary Clinton, D-N.Y., has sought to depict him as naive in international affairs after Obama indicated he would be willing to negotiate with foreign dictators that the U.S. has shunned.

His declaration also followed revelations last month that the Bush administration made a last-minute decision in 2005 to abort a special forces raid to capture senior al-Qaida leaders in Pakistan's tribal areas amid fears the operation might jeopardize relations with Pakistan. The disclosure stirred criticism of the White House, and in his speech Obama called the decision to abort "a terrible mistake."

A national intelligence assessment recently made public concluded al-Qaida is reconstituting itself in the remote region of Pakistan and gaining strength, including setting up training camps.

It's worse than that. In the neotwit FReeker mind sending the military to the 4 corners of the earth to spread democracy one bomb at a time equals defending our freedoms. Using the military to defend America's border makes one a jack boot wearing Nazi.

They are okay with cops jamming submachine guns in their face while a TSA goon feels them up, but get frightened when someone protects the border.

The sheepsters got to this point by buying into NAFTA, GATT, a global economy, the lie that illegals are here to do work we won't do, illegals are paying taxes and present no net drain on local economies, corporatism, elitism, national politics, political lies, and Madison Ave. packaged candidates.

It's that simple.

I think it goes beyond that.

Back in the 60's and 70's people successfully joined together to bring about change. Today, while there are some of us that feel strongly about change, there are not enough that see what many of us here on 4um see as to what amounts to change for the better.

People today have not only been lied to, but they've been the subject of psyops from television, schools, and newspapers, and have also been fed neurotoxins to diminish their overall intelligence as well as driving them bat shit crazy more often than not.

We need some Divine Intervention here I think. Unfortunately, I believe they've even found a way to fake that across the globe in the form of holograms beamed from satelites.

Hopefully, some true Intervention will occur first.
