State GOP chair: McCain 'kind of like Jesus'

By AARON GOULD SHEININ

Published on: 05/17/08

Columbus — Georgia Republican Party chairwoman Sue Everhart said Saturday that the party's presumed presidential nominee has a lot in common with Jesus Christ.

"John McCain is kind of like Jesus Christ on the cross," Everhart said as she began the second day of the state GOP convention. "He never denounced God, either."

Everhart was praising McCain for never denouncing the United States while he was being tortured as a prisoner of war in Vietnam.

"I'm not trying to compare John McCain to Jesus Christ, I'm looking at the pain that was there," she said.

For all the hand-sitters on 4um, this manifest demon-spirit of anti-Christ could continue unrebuked and in power if you don't vote for Obama. Can you live with that? Can you really?

In all fairness I ask you how will Mr Obama stop, or change the course of this manifest demon-spirit of anti-Christ, and remove the unrebuked and in power?

Do you really believe that he will be much different than Clinton or McCain?

I do.

He and his advisors (even Zbig) want to get us out of Iraq ASAP. His approach to politics and foreign relations is the antitheses of the GOP's braindead (and insane) fear and warmongering. These two changes alone are enough to repair a good deal of the damage done, prevent more damage from being done and frustrate the neocon's to no end.

Everything else (from the restoration of basic rights and civil liberties to the closing down of Gitmo) will be gravy.

One thing's for sure, none of these things will happen under a President McCain.

That's a reasonable answer. Thank you. I don't believe a word of it for one millisecond though. He may frustrate the CONs, but the endless transfer of our wealth will continue, just to his set of lobbyists instead of the KStreet crowd. Perhaps our torture chambers will become black ops again, but they will certainly not cease to exist. I don't believe for one second he will close our corporate military bases spread throughout the world. The State Dept will still continue to be one big cluster of corporate whores and they will continue to ensure their endless gravy train of contracts will continue. He's already rattled the saber on Iran, a glimpse into his mind on what to really expect.

Domestically we can expect our taxes to raise, his base has their own cows that need fed. Yes, I'll get a bit of enjoyment watching all the CONs checking out of DC, but I certainly believe they will be replaced with another greedy set of leeches. We can expect the first steps of gun control to be a tax per round on ammo. Can u imagine a Chuck Schumer as AG? You think the CONs have been fascist wait until the left gets the power the right has obtained in the last 7 yrs. Bill Clinton never could have dreamed what they have achieved.

Just started it. Got a couple of talking points/questions already.

First the interviewer is purposely trying to guide the listener into thinking the 3 primary candidates are what? 3 Stooges? I don't think so. All 3 are very smart, very powerful, and most certainly very dangerous. He should focus on their negatives, not some sophomoric name calling. But thats not very interesting. The interviewee is interesting though.

He skips over how the bankers/fascist acquire the radicals for cover to assume control of the masses. Any radical I know wouldn't piss on a fascist if he were burning. Perhaps his definition is different than mine. Is he implying the radical has a lust/greed thing for money and power that causes them to align themselves with the banker/fascist? I don't know any greedy radicals. The ones I know are totally against the corporate behemoths of today. His definition must differ, but he doesn't explain it.

That said, I'm going to smoke a cig than finish listening to him. Perhaps he will cover my questions.
