Just GET IT!!!!

It's like a million time faster than the previous version. Not too many plug ins or add-ons are available at this time but it's more than worth it. And, if you're on a Windows platform you can keep the V2.0.

I'm not going to review it because I only installed it a couple of hours ago. So far, I'm impressed by its speed and stability. My only issues, the Japanese Black theme is not compatible, neither is Tor but I'm sure they will be soon.

Not sure about Linux, but you keep version 2.x with either Mac or Windows even after download and install. With your Mac, just create an additional folder in Applications called Firefox3 or whatever and drag the program in it so you can keep both. Only (drawback) is you can't have both up at the same time. If you're running Firefox 3 and attempt to bring up Firefox 2 you bring up another instance of Firefox 3 (and vice~versa) in either OS. I've tried Firefox 3 on Tiger and Leopard and its butchered a few sites but I can't remember which ones right off. But you're right, all in all, its light years ahead and faster than version 2.x.

IE8 is out in beta and I have to confess I am pleasantly surprised by it.
